Lucky
When my mom’s friends and relatives see me, they will always say: “you’re so lucky you are thin and can eat whatever you want:.
I say: ” I eat healthy food all the time, that’s why I’m not fat.
Mom’s friends: ” oh, well you are sooooooooo lucky that you like you like that stuff because we don’t like it at all.. ha ha ,. We only like all the food that isn’t healthy..ha ha ha:. We €˜crave’ it all the time.
Oh yeah,: that’s right,: it is so LUCKY that I love to eat plain fuc.king nasty old tuna out of can for some meals while you are snorfing down a delicious f.ucking pepperoni pizza with extra crust and washing it down with a few vodka tonics, there is no way I would crave eating that scrumptious meal, bring on the smelly plain cold tuna intead because I just fuc.king LOVE that shit over the amazing smell and taste of a hot fresh extra cheesy pizza. I mean come on, get a fu.cking grip, who the fuc.k wouldn’t like the pizza over the tuna,: maybe there are some: but that is strange. The point is,:.. the pizza won’t help me reach my goals, so I’ll take the tuna instead and I won’t complain about it because that is my choice… but it is certainly not my preference, because I am indeed ‘craving’ the pizza. If you don’t care about being in shape, fine:not a problem,.. everyone has different goals and priorities but please don’t call me lucky for making daily sacrifices you are not making.

I think this is a great post. I’m going to quote it on my blog. It sums up the essence of food choices. Huzzah!
October 3, 2006 at 6:24 am
Your not alone! I get told by family and friends "you dont need to be on a diet, look at yourself" my answer is "yes, look at myself what I do works and thats why I need to keep it that way"
October 3, 2006 at 12:54 pm
My family does that all the time. When I go home, they will purposely cook food they know I will like to tempt me into eating like they do. They really just dont get it. Stay strong.
November 7, 2006 at 11:55 am
Amen, sister!
December 27, 2006 at 8:36 am
That is soooo hilarious! But sooooo true! I always get the, "you obsess too much over working out!" Like obessing over a slice of pizza and sitting on the couch would be better… Please!
December 29, 2006 at 8:54 am
CT you’re a riot! AND you’re RIGHT ON! My sister introduces me (to complete strangers mind you) as the "skinny bitch"! I guess because I take the time to workout 5-6 days a week, eat healthy and care enough about myself to make the sacrifices needed to obtain my body goals, which propels me in a forward positive motion mentally, emotionally, and physically…this makes me a "bitch". Well alrighty then!! So be it.
People who simply can’t be bothered with spending the time and energy to take care of themselves; and make their misfortunes in life MY f.cking fault are very sad and miserable individuals!!! ROCK ON!
December 29, 2006 at 9:26 am
Hahahah! This is the most awesome post I’ve ever read in a blog…seriously. Amen to all that! People say the same stuff to me! They’re like ‘I wish I could eat whatever’ and it’s like, I can’t either! I said to one person, If I ate like you for two weeks I’d be like gaining weight like crazy. Call me rude, but I like to be honest… I think people are just making ‘chit chat’ when they talk like that because obviously they don’t know WHAT they’re talking about…haha.
See ya girl!!!
December 30, 2006 at 2:35 pm
great post. I think you pretty much spoke for all of us. Fluck Tuna! but you gotta do what you gotta do if you don’t want to look like a freaking slob! Happy new Year
December 30, 2006 at 3:52 pm
You made me feel really guilty for not sticking to my diet better……….. and REALLY hungry for cheese pizza!
December 30, 2006 at 4:07 pm
Even though they are naive you earned your body. Don’t you wish it was as easy as they think it is
January 2, 2007 at 1:45 pm
You only look that good because of good genetics. I think it’s called the self-discipline gene.
January 4, 2007 at 7:18 am
eat healthy, be healthy and look awseome, if you want it go get it dont make excuses, much respect.
January 4, 2007 at 11:21 am
That was awesome! Well said.
I guess people like to think its all luck and that they can\’t do it themselves, because that\’s an easier crutch than actually doing it.
January 4, 2007 at 12:22 pm
Word.
January 5, 2007 at 2:48 pm
You are so right on and its very true. Reading this just asured me that I am not alone and that there are other people out there that go through the same. Where I work, people make fun of what I eat ALL the time. Like you said - cold F**king can tuna haha- soo true! and I also add the grapefruit with it and wash it down with plain unsweetned green tea - LOL. I can’t stand this crap I eat, but I’ve been eating it for the past year straight now because I wish to have an awesome body and become more then I could ever be for my age.
January 9, 2007 at 10:29 pm

Good rant. Agreed on all points.
February 2, 2007 at 4:11 pm
Hallelujah! Just gave me extra motivation NOT to eat the pizza! THANKS A TON!!!!!
February 16, 2007 at 1:36 pm
U Rock! I agree 100% with you. Dedication, Determination and Desire to acheive physical greatness! Love the inspiration on this blog. I’ve been loahting the healthy eating part, love the training, but the sacrifice of eating "clean" kills me, but you are my idol on this site so I better get with it. Thanks for you honesty!
February 17, 2007 at 9:44 am
I agree 100% with you.
February 19, 2007 at 1:18 am
Great post. but dang girl you cuss a lot! lol
February 19, 2007 at 1:43 am
So, uhm… how do you really feel?
February 20, 2007 at 5:57 am
haha, great blog! Tell it like it is!
February 20, 2007 at 6:23 am
Tuna , ya, with me it’s also my morning oatmeal that I add powder to. And if I change the powder suddenly it’s a week before I get the consistancy right again. Hmm, 2 more spoonfuls left but I scrape the bowl down and make sure I get every bit into me. Then wash it down with a glass of orange juice. Then pop a half dozen pills. What a tado for sure but I focus on the end result , not the process.
March 2, 2007 at 1:12 am
Have you ever considered a Keto diet? I am thinking about trying it — the info on the Keto Forum is very compelling!
March 6, 2007 at 2:23 pm
SPOT ON!!!
So true!
March 12, 2007 at 1:44 pm
PERFECT!!! I Love it, ssssssssooooooooo true!! BTW, great work.
March 13, 2007 at 10:38 am
WOW! You are damn inspiring!
What an EXCELLENT attitude and outlook.
March 21, 2007 at 7:28 pm
LOL!!! Your freakin funny… Your body is amazing…
March 21, 2007 at 9:57 pm
I hate tuna out of the can. I do like to mix it with low-fat cottage cheese, though. Isn’t that ****ing disgusting. You are a true motivator, you must know that. If I could have a vodka tonic I would say, cheers, but we can toast to our protein shakes that taste like a monkey’s ass. To our health.
March 21, 2007 at 10:59 pm
Oh, I usually get it at work. "Look there he goes eating the weird food again" as they waddle over to the fridge and grab their pork sausage and fetuccini alfredo. People who have no work ethic or willpower bitterly resent those who do.
March 21, 2007 at 11:33 pm
"When my mom’s friends and relatives see me, they will always say: “you’re so lucky you are thin and can eat whatever you want"
Luck is the intersection of opportunity & preparation. . .
nice abs
March 24, 2007 at 7:54 am
Chicken Tuna, you are very funny, have me crackin up at work. In an Italian household those cravings are about 10 feet from my room, with the rents telling me just eat it\" btw, impressive body.
March 27, 2007 at 1:00 pm
LOL!!!..Tuna, you have me laughing my ass off here…..this is some funny stuff! that\\\’s EXACTLY what i\\\’ve heard for years from friends/family..some people just don\\\’t have a clue…just the other day my boss saw me preparing my lunch and said \\\"wow that looks healthy\\\"..then she proceeded to say..\\\"you don\\\’t need to watch what you eat\\\"..referring to my size…YIKES!….such ignorance…anyway, you\\\’re awesome! never change!…teeny xoxo
March 28, 2007 at 9:26 am
I wish I could make a business card with all of this on it, and everytime someone says I’m "Lucky" I’ll just pass my card off to them and walk away LMAO. Preach it Sista!
April 2, 2007 at 12:29 pm
I loved this blog ! I am sure it is jealousy that makes people talk like that. I cannot wait for someone to call me the’ Skinny Bitch’ HEHEHE !
April 3, 2007 at 9:39 am
Thanks for the laughs! Hands down THE best blog yet!
April 3, 2007 at 3:20 pm
love it its my theme song
April 7, 2007 at 6:27 pm
Word up! One great quote I’ll never forget: "Nothing tastes as good as being healthy feels".
April 8, 2007 at 8:50 pm
I’ve had people tell me this even though I don’t work out. I may look healthy, but I really ain’t. I eat all that junk food you said. But for the past week, I’ve been researching and reading countless information about health and nutrition. I am even more inspired about having a toned body after seeing your website. It’s going to be hard, but I like how you put it….I would take a nice body any day than a greasy pizza. Keep up the good work Chicken Tuna. Hope you can praise us with more insight about being fit and healthy and the bulliness that goes along with it.
April 25, 2007 at 11:42 am
I can’t beleive how RIGHT you are. guys my age who I see at the gym say the same to me. that I’m "lucky" to have very low B.F. and that I’m "lucky" that I have good genetics. who the hell are they kidding? I graduated high school at 135lbs! is that "buff"? Hell No it’s not! I bust my balls and work out 6 days a week to look like this, I’ve gained 25 lbs in a little over a year. now I can tell you, I worked my ass off for it. sacrafice? yes. but it is definately worth it.
keep up the good work!
April 25, 2007 at 3:46 pm
You are too funny but your speak the truth girl. I eat five cans of tuna daily and never think about it because it’s what I do. I’ve been eating tuna daily for about twenty years now and that’s the truth.
April 26, 2007 at 9:45 am
you have the best blogs ever they are hella true but they crack me up :}
May 4, 2007 at 5:18 am
AMEN! What’s up with people thinking that we have it easy or that we have naturally high metabolisms or something? People are ignorant and clueless. Thanks for telling what and how you eat.
May 4, 2007 at 8:14 am
WOW… Girl, go ahead and make it PLAIN. You’re SO right about that. I think it’s funny how people with goals might try to hinder another person’s goal and, in a way, devalue those goals by saying "oh my you’re so lucky for your genetics". NO, it comes down to HARD, HONEST work and discipline!! Keep up your fabulous dedication.
May 7, 2007 at 9:06 pm
Haha! Just had to laugh at that, too true! I get the same thing all the time! I wouldn’t look this way if I ate all the deliciously delightful fatty pills that I crave! I will take the boiled chicken and a size 4 anyday:)
July 21, 2007 at 12:54 am
It cannot be said better. Best rant I’ve ever read.
July 22, 2007 at 10:28 pm
My goodness was that motivating in a very straight forward, no b.s. kind of way…. I dont think it couldve been said better and its good to hear that everyone feels the same. Nicely written
August 10, 2007 at 11:23 am
you know what? you should write a book, I love your blogs and bunklers.com… so motivating, and very different from everything we hear out there! you just make me want to get up and go workout everytime i read you!!! fantastic! thank you!
August 13, 2007 at 9:41 am
wow… yes. I know friends that will say to me: "you are lucky you are naturally skinny, you have good genes.." and it makes me so mad, as if I don’t eat healthy, put in the hard work in the gym and stay disciplined in order to get where I’m at. As if the muscle that I have built and the fat that I have kept off wasn’t due to my own hard work. It was all just handed to me while I sat on my ass all day eating chips, pizza and buffalo wings. WTF… put in your own hard work and you can get results too. I am naturally skinny, but I would be pudgy, bloated, flabby and weak if I didn’t work hard on my health and physique. I’m glad I’m not the only one out there that encounters this shit.
August 24, 2007 at 4:53 pm
You are so right, thats one of the best things I have read on here. Some people just have no clue! Good for you for being stronger than they are.
August 31, 2007 at 10:23 pm
If I had a nickel for every time someone asked me how I could wolf down a can/bag of tuna, cold, in the middle of the day, I would not have to do it at work anymore. I don’t inhale that stuff because it is soooooo delicious, but because it’s awful and I want to get it over with… great rant, BEAUTIFUL body, kepp it up
September 13, 2007 at 8:19 am
That was perfectly written. Your body is phenomenal, keep up the good work. You are very inspiring. Thanks.
September 17, 2007 at 2:04 pm
i couldn’t agree more!
i get that all the time like :" oh you love egg whites and tuna, i can’t do that"
i say i don’t friggin like it but ther’s no choice!
if it looks like cardboard i eat it, if it looks delicious i don’t.
September 19, 2007 at 10:00 am
OMG! Bunklers, U took the words Right out of my mouth, God I Love u’r Blogs! LMFAO! Fat ignorant Mother fu*ker’s always try and devalue the hard work an sacrifice we put into ourselves Bcuz they’re not willing 2 sacrifice anything themselves!
Lmao, U Keep writing, & i’ll keep enjoying!
September 20, 2007 at 11:25 am
….BINGO……YAHTZEE……….BULLSEYE…..
…DUH!!!…..
YOU’RE GOOD GIRL!!
September 24, 2007 at 10:20 pm
Oh CT, I love this shit!!!! Point is staight on. I am going to print this and hang it up in my office. LOVELY.
October 5, 2007 at 11:23 am
This is so true! I am so sick of my family saying how lucky I am to be in such good shape and how they must have gotten the bad genes. Hello! I workout 5 days a week and I eat right. I want to tell them to get off their lazy butts so bad and that includes all the other people around that hate.
October 5, 2007 at 11:31 am
LOL definately can identify with this rant. Have had this type of conversation many times. About some someone wrote about it lol.
October 6, 2007 at 9:44 pm
rofl, my mom says the same shit. God it’s good to know I’m not alone.
October 7, 2007 at 12:13 am
Luck has nothing to do with anything, you’re right about that. But you don’t have to mis out on nice food to look good. You CAN eat a pizza every now and then. In fact, it will atually do your body SOME good if you’re not eating much to stay lean! Yeah you have to make sacrifices to get good (looking good is a fullt-ime job, plus some), but you don’t have to forego EVERYTHING!
October 18, 2007 at 2:11 pm
you had me cracking up with this post, good stuff.
October 30, 2007 at 1:02 pm
I am with you all the way; in fact I say its not getting up at 4.30am to go to the gym that really hurts its the passing up the ‘good’ food. As you said we all have goals and mine is a long ways off.
You are an inspiration.
Simon
November 3, 2007 at 3:38 pm
Awesome post… who could disagree with you? Training is hard work.. eating clean can suck at times, but, if you want something for yourself, you have to be willing to "Take it for yourself".
thanks again

November 6, 2007 at 7:19 pm
Chicken Tuna, great comments that are so real. It gave me the motivation I used to have. I had been so strict in the past, and slowly got away for no good reason. I read your comments about two months ago and immediately jumped into a extremely strict diet again, and started my cardio. I have always worked out, so I had that going for me, but made excuses why I had not looked as hard as I use too. You put it just how I use to tell others. I just needed to hear it again. I have been checking your comments and pictures daily for fresh motivation. I already have impoved a lot and feel so motivated.
November 6, 2007 at 7:32 pm
Tru Dat….. Definitely not luck! Definitely SELF-DISCIPLINE!
January 8, 2008 at 3:59 pm
Some call it luck, others call it genetics, I agree with you that it is simply sheer determination and force of will. You must do the workouts and to have proper nutritional intake to turn your body into iron.
February 13, 2008 at 4:39 am
Young lady that is the funniest thing I have read awhile, think I’ll post it. My daughter-9 said about a year ago "Why do you eat like that Daddy" so after I told her she asked "shouldn’t me and (brother) eat like that to" which never really occured to me till that moment, so we do, and the two people who mean the most support it (they get the choc + popcorn although)
I get the questions, I dont bother people with the fact I’m hungry, that I miss beer, and gimlets, and I have been doing this for years
March 18, 2008 at 10:17 pm
LOL, i m totally lfeeling your delivery and you are right about what you are talking about. People always like to have excuses about why they can’t do something. When someone is doing something they will not do they try to make that person out to be some freak of nature. Like something is wrong with them because they are succeding at something. I live by the motto "If people are hating on you, you must be doing something good" No one ever gets jealous of the fat person. Thanks for the blog and keep up the good work!

March 30, 2008 at 8:14 pm
this one is my favorite out of all, jajjaja i like the attitude, sometimes i wish i could just say that to some people in that exact same way but then they’ll think you’ve gone mad.
props for the blog.
keep it up and never stop eating good and working out( i know you wont).
April 7, 2008 at 10:40 pm
There’s this guy at work that says self improvement is masterbation.I just grin at him and think god this guy is an idiot. So yup i think everyone on this site knows exactly what your talking about but you know what?they go home after being around you and look in the mirror and feel depressed over the garbage heep that they call they’re body.
June 14, 2008 at 1:32 am
I had this conversation when I came home from the gym one night, sweaty, exhausted and starving, and popped my chicken and vege meal in the microwave, my (obese) friend was making fudge on the cooktop. She told me how lucky I was, I didn’t want to point out the obvious - that I spent the evening at the gym and she spent it on her ass watching TV and eating fudge, because I felt it would be rude. But what shocked me the most was just how far in denial she is to herself! To anyone watching our conversation the truth would have been obvious - but to her it had nothing to do with what I do every night and what she does every night - it all came down to the fact that I am just "lucky"
June 19, 2008 at 4:52 pm
LOL I love you
June 30, 2008 at 12:45 pm
Tell it like it is!! I love it!!
July 9, 2008 at 5:07 pm

July 11, 2008 at 8:57 am

July 12, 2008 at 12:25 pm

~Roxanna
July 23, 2008 at 1:58 pm
Great post, its funny how people find excuses so they can talk themselves out of making healthy choices. It’s much easier to blame some outside force than to put down the pizza for most people.
August 13, 2008 at 7:39 am
thanks for telling it like it is. I’ve been letting myself be governed by my cravings. No epiphany here just wanting to take charge and I hate Chicken and Tuna but I realize the red meat is negatively effecting me than postively and my eating habits are shite. Thanks for the post and your right, it’s about sacrifice to see the gains…some want it more than others.
Thanks for the post and keep it coming.
August 14, 2008 at 4:32 pm
Thank you for this blog, Ms. ChickenTuna. I’ve, today, begun the journey of bodily transformation. I think that I really need to hear/read a beautiful woman with a body like yours struggles with wanting a slice of pizza instead of "smelly, old tuna". It helps knowing that I really do have the ability to say no no matter how badly I want it. Hey.. do you splurge?
September 2, 2008 at 2:58 pm
CT, that is hilariously on the money. I can’t stand that smelly catfood. Because of you I will try to eat it though. Normally I just lean toward lean meats and chicken, maybe some baked fish…but man what a sacrifice you’re making….catfood it is!!! I will keep you updated!
September 23, 2008 at 2:04 am
My thoughts exactly. People are always saying stupid crap to people who make sacrifices to better there health.
I love the post
September 23, 2008 at 3:01 pm
You are soo right! I was thinking about breaking my diet for a couple of slices of pizaa this weekend- However, after reading your rant I think I will stay the course and continue to eat well.
September 23, 2008 at 3:01 pm
You are soo right! I was thinking about breaking my diet for a couple of slices of pizaa this weekend- However, after reading your rant I think I will stay the course and continue to eat well.

Preach it, Sister!
February 5, 2009 at 10:32 am
you crack me up! and you’re sooo right!
February 10, 2009 at 9:06 pm
I don’t know if you, or anyone else would actually like this. I HATE it, but it’s better than the cold tuna out of the can. Try cooking it. Break out the frying pan, open up the can of tuna and pour it all in, water and everything. Don’t use oil, or spam or pam, whatever it’s called. Just let it fry in it’s own water. Fry it ’till the water’s just about gone, and then eat the tuna with a raw egg white or two in it. The tuna doesn’t taste so much like TUNA after you cook it, and the egg white makes it easier to chew, and swallow. Plus, it’ll add an extra bit of protein to every meal.
March 7, 2009 at 12:18 pm
I love your strait talk, and I am working hard to get a body just like yours. Thank you for the extensive gluteus pics, too. I am training hard to shape up the hamstrings and glutes. Your pics give me even more motive to work my ass off! Thanks, ferrin
April 3, 2009 at 11:37 pm
That’s the hater in people talking. And genetics my foot, my father is super fit for 60 and I was skinny my whole life but I started eating junk and after the babies didn’t do anything to improve my weight. So your right eating well is not easy and I fight temptation everyday but I have to remember if I want chicken tuna abs I can’t have that snickers bar. lol
June 1, 2009 at 8:07 pm
Here here! they act as if we’re "lucky" when actually we are putting in pain and time…suffering, even… to get where we are.
ever try mustard, relish, and garlic powder in your tuna? its awesome. can’t add much in the way of fat or calories.
July 22, 2009 at 9:47 pm
Man.. I love your no bull.**** approach. Your awesome!
