First and foremost I did steal this from JsnBrns blog and I titled it appropriately it isn’t mine but I think it should continue to be read. It serves a purpose and people should hear what he and all of us think.
So, am I the only one that thinks that the new "Inspirational Top 6" is complete b.s.? Apparently, the Top 6 most visited wasn’t good enough to stroke egos. Don’t get me wrong… there are people in the Top 6 female and male sides that have incredible bodies and have made fantastic progress. However, I just find the bean-counting to be a little pathetic. There are plenty of people that inspire me, but they don’t have bodyspace profiles. With that said, how about that #1 male profile? First of all I think the whole thing is hilarious. But what I find more entertaining is the fact that all of the people adding him as being inspiring are doing it as a sarcastic protest to the "Inspirational Top 6" circus…. yet there seems to be a 50/50 split to those who get the joke and those who feel sorry for him. There are those that go to his page and wonder why the hell so many people have added him as inspirational, and they leave hateful comments. There are those who in return leave compassionate comments in response to the hateful ones to try to balance out his ego. And then there are my favorites… the sarcastic ones making him out to look like the best thing to bodybuilding since weight. What I find utterly pathetic is one member’s comment stating that "this is bull s!!!"… apparently he doesn’t get the joke and should just go back to having people take pictures of him flexing while he reads a magazine (very natural). I’m sure stealth_swimmer’s being #1 is bad for business, but come on. Enjoy the spectacle! Well, I’m just going to sit back and continue to enjoy the circus that bodyspace is becoming. I’m still waiting for the "Top 6 Most Obnoxious".

Well, Tuesday night I didn’t do my ‘biggest loser workout.’ I was too tired, so I listened to my body and got some rest, which was awesome! But last night, I was ready to go, I took off my afternoon workout, so that I would be able to do my full workout, since I was trying to improve on last weeks. And i did! I got home took my protein, and started my flat bench workout, I did 2 sets and 135 12, 10 reps. Then, I moved up to, 215 and I did 6 sets at 6,6,6,5,3, and 5(took about a 4min break, so I could pump out a few more). Then, I did 2 more sets at 135 for 10, 10 reps, as a cool down. Then, I did 3 sets of flyes 1 set at 25lbs for 10 reps, and the last 2 sets at 20lbs for 15 reps. Then, came the my ‘biggest loser workout,’ which if you haven’t read my previous blog, is me riding my stationary bike while watching the show, bc I don’t feel right watching them workout for 2hrs while I sit on my ass, so I rode for 96min, went 47.7mi, and burned 1800cals! And today, I feel great my chest is a little sore, but i took enough BCAA’s and protein so hopefully the soreness won’t last long.

"Funday Monday!" As I remember hearing on the first Monday of ‘two-a-days,’ and every other Monday that followed that football year. But, I’m not insuating that I worked out twice today because I didn’t. I am saying, however, that today is Monday, obviously, and that like in football and in life, I dread Mondays, I’m not one to wake up and be glad to go to work, mainly because I’m not doing something that I love, but rather something to pay the bills and so forth. But, I’m glad that if I have to come to work at least I can workout while here, and that’s what I did again. Today, I hit back and traps, it was fun I enjoyed the burn. I used my Gold’s Gym select dumbbells and my T.O. Bands. It was a real challenging workout, I had a good sweat going on as well and when I was done I had that initial pump. Then, like the title states, I had two turkey sandwiches as my post-workout meal, and they were delicious!

So here I am at work and with nothing to do. . .I mean absolutely NOTHING! Well, instead of sitting on my ass wishing I was doing something, like working out. I’ve been bringing my T.O. bands, resistance bands, to work for about the past week or two. However, today, I decided to bring my Gold’s Gym select dumbbells! I’m so glad I did, I mean using the bands are great for like a lighter lifts, and not that I’m the strongest, but those bands don’t cut when I want to do biceps or triceps, even though those are smaller muscle groups, I’m just a big guy. Anyways, back to my point, I’m so happy that I went through the trouble to bring them in and be able to use them. I probably worked out for about an hour and a half, and I worked up a good sweat too, so I’m hoping I burned some calories. Now, I’m done and I’m enjoying two turkey sandwiches on whole wheat with a slice of provolone and just a dap of honey mustard! YUM! I would say it’s been a great evening, even though I’m at work.

I fallen in love with this show, and actually use it for motivation. . .at first, I’ll admit, I thought it was a stupid premise, to help obese people lose an ungodly amount of weight in a very short period of time. It didn’t seem realistic because who is going to have 6+hrs to do this once they get home! But after watching for most of this season, this is my first season to watch regularly, I understand what they are doing for these people, they’re giving them a second chance at life, because without the show they would still be on thier distructive path until they died, I’m sure of it. Now I have a deeper respect for those people that apply for the show hoping to make it on, they just want the opppurtunity to regain control of thier lives, and I definetely respect that, and even find myself cheering for them all every weigh-in! And with all this said, I say they motivate me because every week I count on the show coming on and I make sure if I’m going to watch it then I’m going to workout while I watch. I mean why not, they workout for half the show atleast, so I’m proud to say that last night I rode my stationary bike for 82min, went 39.7miles, and burnt 1500calories! Not to mention every 200 calories I’d stop and do dumbbell curls, hammer curls, and one arm tricep overhead extensions. And on top of that I did about an hours worth of resistance bands while work, doing biceps and shoulders! So thank you, biggest loser contestants you all have definetely motivated me to be better me everyday and every week!
