Well, I’m traveling for work this week and on my way to the hotel I realized that I’d left my running shoes at home!! I’d packed all of my running gears and forgot my shoes, go figure! However, I did bring my dumb bells along to workout with, since the hotel gym has no weights. I have to stay real motivated while away from home so it felt good to get back to the hotel room from work and workout. I even did 30 minutes on the stationary bike. Just have to continue to stay focused and keep taking my protein shakes.

Feels great to start losing weight. I’ve still got to lose some weight around my stomach, but I’m planning on including running into my workout routine next week. The running should definitely help me some. I’ve been some what bad with what I’ve been eating the last two days so I promise to be good tomorrow. I’ve started losing weight around my face and upper body so that is making me feel good. I’ve changed up my workout routine this past week to shock the body. Just got to keep focused and true to myself.

Well, it’s been about 3 months since I started working back out again and I’m feeling really good about myself. I’ve cut sugar out completely from my coffee and I’m starting to see a slight difference around my waistline. I used to put about 4/5 tsps of sugar in my coffee everyday. Even the soft drinks are pretty much a thing of the past. I know that I need to start incorporating some running into my routine in order to lose some more weight around my waist. I’ve lost about 5 pounds, probably a bit more, since I’ve put on more muscle. I only had one week two weeks ago when I was sick that I was unable to workout. I’ve also been going out and mountain biking and will try to continue doing it into the fall. It’s great to be able to get on here and see progress pictures from other people to remind you that getting in really good shape is possible.

Well, it has been a rough start for me this year, but it is nice to have a new job. The new job has been kicking my butt with the hours that I’ve been putting in. I started working back out 3 weeks ago and I’m feeling really good again. Now I just need to work on making sure that I’m watching what I’m eating. My training is almost over and then I will be able to get really focused on my diet again.

Well, I’ve taken the last 10 days off to make sure that I’d given myself plenty of time to recover from pulling my lower back at work. Then on Monday a week ago I was laid off from work. Mentally I felt that I also needed to give myself some time to recover from the bad news. I kept meaning to work out the past couple of nights and have kept putting it off. Well, tonight I crushed the negativity and headed to the garage and worked out. I am watching my little girl(just turned one last month) for now until I find something and today I put her in the running stroller and went out for 40 minutes. It felt good to get out there and run some. I will admit that my calves felt sore after I was done, but it felt good. I figured that I will take this opportunity that I’ve been given to work on different projects around the house and also start running again to lose weight. Stay motivated…

Curse these holidays! LOL Thanksgiving broke me and made me give in to my eyes and stomach. So many goodies that I just couldn’t say no! That’s okay I did work out tonight because I’ve also slacked and not worked out for 3 days straight. I did manage to bench 235# tonight for 3 sets and 5 reps. I do feel that I’m getting stronger so that’s a good thing. Christmas will not break me though!!

Well, it’s the beginning of November and I’m feeling great! Motivated with the mind set that I am wrecking ball ready to know down some walls. Thanks to all on bodyspace and that help to keep me going and to my family. It’s great to see so many older(all relative and myself included) guys on bodyspace taking control of their lives and looking better that most guys in their 20’s. Tonight I was listening to Motley Crue(greatest hits) and it had me really pumped up as I worked on arms tonight. My little ones had really worked me over this weekend after Halloween and back to back birthday parties yesterday and today, but I still managed to workout last night and tonight!! I’ve seen more candy this past weekend then I’d seen all year long!! I’ve managed to be strong and control the candy beast within myself. I’m looking to see big improvements in my body this month and I will be tested with the holidays, but I am looking forward to the challenge.

Tomorrow is Thursday and then the weekend will be here! I had a good workout tonight and I feel really good. I rested up last night and this morning I felt really tired. I’m gonna start using my nights off to do situps, pushups and crunches so that I still do something. I’ve been working real hard on my diet and packing lunch to work. This keeps me from eating out and not eating well. I’m staying motivated!!

Well, it’s Wednesday and we only have two more days to go before the weekend! Up until today this week has really been draggin’ by. Tuna is now my friend!!! I’ve had it for lunch for the past two days and I love it. My wife did a great job of preparing the tuna with celery and it tastes great. I was very surprised and tuna will now become a regular part of my diet. I’ve been keeping a journal of my food intake and it helps to keep me focused. The whey protein stuff that I bought tastes good too. I’m finding that the journal keeps me focused about my food/calorie intake. I’ve been trying to make sure that my protein intake is where it needs to be at if I’m to continue getting cut and add muscle. Today was an abs day and I did push ups and some ab related excercises. I did not get to go riding this weekend. Walking on the side of an mountain picking apples and carrying a 30# child gave me enough of a workout on Saturday. Then on Sunday I picked pumpkins with my family and in-laws and managed to take 3 steps with a 100# of pumkins in my hands! I will be riding on Saturday. Remember friends we have to push ourselves in order to stay motivated.

Hello again. Another wonderful week has gone by and the weekend is here again! So much to do this weekend, Apple Festival & pick pumpkins at the pumpkin patch!! Some good family time with wife and kids! I rested up last night and worked out this evening. I benched 195# on the incline bench so that felt real good today. I started writing down what I’m eating yesterday in my little black book. I’m trying to add more protein to my diet. My wife is making me a tuna sandwich to try tomorrow. I like grilled tuna, but there’s something about the smell of tuna from the can that scares me. I’ve gotta suck it up and try it. I’m sure it’s not all that bad. I hope! I want to be able to track my diet and eat better. I feel that I’m getting cut up top, but I’ve still got the spare tire that will take some time to dispose of. After all it’s taken me years of eating badly to get to this point. I’m gonna try and go mountain biking tomorrow after we get back from the Apple Festival and I’ve done all of my chores(just in case my wife is reading this) around the house.
