<p>Hello Potatoes,</p>
<p>Let me introduce myself: I&#8217;m Adam, or if you prefer a more friendly approach, I&#8217;m Bash or Baz, beatiful but odd nicknames that have been assigned to me for a good 7 years. I&#8217;m 18, deferring from College for a year and more importantly I&#8217;m Irish. I love being Irish, I say it with pride but when people ask me &#8220;why?&#8221;, &#8220;what does it mean to be Irish?&#8221; the only thing I can say is that &#8220;I&#8217;m not fcuking English&#8221;. Ah well, we&#8217;re not all drunks and the weather isn&#8217;t all shitty, I lie, it is. But I wouldn&#8217;t change a thing about this beatiful country&#8230;well except maybe the resession but sure fcuk it we&#8217;re all in this together.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Right, down to business. And that would be what exactly? I can&#8217;t lift at the moment you see. I dislocated my shoulder for the 4th time three weeks back and I need a lot of work to mend it. Consoltations, Clinic appointments, Surgery waiting lists and one day Physiotherapy. The slow and boring Irish health system dosen&#8217;t make things go quicker. So I estimate I won&#8217;t be lifting for a solid 5-6 months. That sucks right? So bascially I&#8217;ve been told, <strong>DON&#8217;T Lift, don&#8217;t swim, don&#8217;t play rugby or football or anyother sport tha involves MOVING! DON&#8217;T do pulling movements, pushing movements, pressure movements. DON&#8217;T lean on the shoulder, rest on the shoulder, eat with the shoulder. BASICALLY, DO NO DO A SINGLE THING THAT MAY IN SOME WAY, SOME TINY LITTLE WAY, PISS OFF MY SHOULDER. </strong>So maybe I should be wearing that sling they gave me?</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Anyway, as I mentioned before I&#8217;m taking a year off College. Why? I don&#8217;t exactly know myself. Perhaps I need a years rest after the pressure to get into college. Maybe I knew I couldn&#8217;t give college a full blow with all the fuss going on about my shoulder. More than likely I wanted to work for a year so I could afford a car, laptop and a bunch of other luxeries. Anyway, I think a friend has managed to secure a job for yours truely. Nothing glamerous, just corner shop stuff. But still, a job&#8217;s a job and money&#8217;s money. The first thing I&#8217;m gonna invest in is a Nike+ set. Seen as how running is about the only form of exercise I can do, I may aswell give it a shot. If all goes well and I can affored a the running set I&#8217;ll keep you up to date with my progress.</p>
