My Introduction.

Rite so, think it’s about time I write one of these blog thingys.

Hello Potatoes,

Let me introduce myself: I’m Adam, or if you prefer a more friendly approach, I’m Bash or Baz, beatiful but odd nicknames that have been assigned to me for a good 7 years. I’m 18, deferring from College for a year and more importantly I’m Irish. I love being Irish, I say it with pride but when people ask me “why?”, “what does it mean to be Irish?” the only thing I can say is that “I’m not fcuking English”. Ah well, we’re not all drunks and the weather isn’t all shitty, I lie, it is. But I wouldn’t change a thing about this beatiful country…well except maybe the resession but sure fcuk it we’re all in this together.

Right, down to business. And that would be what exactly? I can’t lift at the moment you see. I dislocated my shoulder for the 4th time three weeks back and I need a lot of work to mend it. Consoltations, Clinic appointments, Surgery waiting lists and one day Physiotherapy. The slow and boring Irish health system dosen’t make things go quicker. So I estimate I won’t be lifting for a solid 5-6 months. That sucks right? So bascially I’ve been told, DON’T Lift, don’t swim, don’t play rugby or football or anyother sport tha involves MOVING! DON’T do pulling movements, pushing movements, pressure movements. DON’T lean on the shoulder, rest on the shoulder, eat with the shoulder. BASICALLY, DO NO DO A SINGLE THING THAT MAY IN SOME WAY, SOME TINY LITTLE WAY, PISS OFF MY SHOULDER. So maybe I should be wearing that sling they gave me?

Anyway, as I mentioned before I’m taking a year off College. Why? I don’t exactly know myself. Perhaps I need a years rest after the pressure to get into college. Maybe I knew I couldn’t give college a full blow with all the fuss going on about my shoulder. More than likely I wanted to work for a year so I could afford a car, laptop and a bunch of other luxeries. Anyway, I think a friend has managed to secure a job for yours truely. Nothing glamerous, just corner shop stuff. But still, a job’s a job and money’s money. The first thing I’m gonna invest in is a Nike+ set. Seen as how running is about the only form of exercise I can do, I may aswell give it a shot. If all goes well and I can affored a the running set I’ll keep you up to date with my progress.

Anywayz, that’s me in three paragraphs. Love to hear some feedback (doubt that will happen). Ah sure anyways, if you read the post cheers I appreciate it. If you didn’t enjoy hell. :)

G’luck and G’bye

Adam.

Don’t put too much stock into your culture/race. There’s more important things in life (you and your future!). Come to the USA and go to school or do some world traveling then go back to school. You’re still young and can change your life tremendously. Good luck!
