P90X - Its the Truth!

Ok, I know alot of people don’t buy the whole video series programs, but WOW, I’ve been working out with P90X this week and MAN it is killer! I can lift weights and run till the cows come home and yes, I get tired at the end, but with P90X I’m way past tired, my rear is kicked and I’m dragging out afterwards… And I have noticed results in only a week! Its an incredible workout! LOVE IT!!

Another Week Down (almost)

I’m tired, I’m hungry, I have a headache, but hey, that’s what two cardio sessions on top of leg day gets you… I’m barely hanging on today… I took my kids in the pool at the gym with my wife tonight, and I don’t know what it is, but the pool makes me feel like I haven’t eaten in a week, when I come out of there I just want to eat the steering wheel on my Explorer!!! But I successfully drove past McD’s and made it home. Its going to be cottage cheese and bed…SOON. This makes another week of eating right and working out every day! I am doing my best to continue to widdle away my midsection and even though it can be discouraging at times, I know the end result will be worth it…

A Partner Is Worth Their Weight In GOLD

My wife saved the day last night… we had left the gym and hour before where we had a very good workout, we lifted weights and got in about 40 mins of cardio… I WAS STARVING, and with my two sons in the backseat begging for food I was about to give in! Chipotles, McDonalds, Wendy’s, Burger King, I DIDN’T CARE, I just  knew I was with the kids and I wanted food NOW! but, my wife’s cooler head prevailed and guided us safely home to a good clean dinner with no fat and carb load =) Thank You Babydoll =) I OWE YOU!!!

So, its not a landslide, BUT, I’m down 2 lbs AND 2 inches on my waist!! YEAH YEAH YEAH!!! That’s a little motivation to help carry me on!

P90X Ab Ripper - Its the Truth

Lol, so I borrowed a copy of the p90 ab ripperX dvd from a friend at work who simply described the workout as "The Truth". I said ok, we’ll see, its only 16 mins long so how bad can it be right? Well, for someone who isnt necessarily in shape so to speak, very bad, but in that 90’s way where bad is actually good! NO, I didnt complete the workout without taking breaks, but great workout nonetheless! I’ll definitely be adding this one to my workout rotation! I also did a quick 30 mins on the elliptical today, I hit it hard, but was disappointed that I didnt make it back for a second workout that evening. But, overall a good day with good eating! I ate cottage cheese, egg-beater omelets, oatmeal, protein shake… though I did splurge with a gronola bar, but I can live with that for now…

Wow… posting starting pics… humbling and frankly embarrassing

Ouch… so this is where I am… I have a lot of hard work ahead of me, but I can honestly say, that having been working out and eating right for 3 weeks now, I know I’m ready and I will accomplish my goals. I am amped up and excited to take the next pics in 30 days!!!

Fudge da Cheat Days!

Wow. I decided that I had ‘earned’ a cheat day, no, my wife and I decided to call it a ‘rest’ day… SO, I’ve been clean eating for almost 3 weeks, and didn’t really want to mess with it…but I decided sure, no problem, especially after I discoverd that I could fit back into my size 36 pants!!! Down 2 inches on the waist! Literally, the only thing I could think of that I wanted was a footlong sub from Subway… but that seemed not a good enough cheat…so we opted for pizza, I ate three pieces and felt like a blimp afterwards. But, that wasn’t good enough, so when I got back home, ate chips by the handful, ate a oatmeal pie, and then ate a big dinner with two glasses of milk…. translation, my ‘rest’ or ‘card-load’ day has left me feeling like a walking time bomb… I nearly puked just walking from the table to upstairs for a shower!! Forget this junk! I have always been a food addict and thus, when I allow myself a free day, I get a little too free and thus I am NOT going to have another one… or if I do, my cheat food WILL be a subway sandwich!!!

Its all about Diet

I’m eating clean, and have been for 2 and a half weeks now… I’ve been living on egg beater omelets, grilled chicken, cottage cheese, oatmeal, protein shakes and my cheat food if you want to call it that, is one pack of granola bars a day at 140 calories a pop… nothing else! I have been feeling incredible! Oh, I have been including broccoli, red/green/jalepeno peppers and onions, so I’m trying to add some roughage too! BOTTOM LINE: I feel great! AND, of course I’m LOSING WEIGHT!!!

Saturday 1st Workout

I made it to the gym this morning for my first workout, did 20 minutes on the elliptical, and then followed it up with a mile on the treadmill. My wife and I also did some tricep work, she is looking HOT! I’m working hard to drop the fat… I just got a copy of the P90 abs workout from a friend at work, he said it was, "The Truth" lol… so we’ll see, I’m going to do that this afternoon, but first we’re going to grill out some chicken and then get another workout in!! YEAH!

Running the Fat away

July 18, 2008

I’ve been back on track, with fitness and more importantly with diet. I ate entirely clean this week, not a single cheat! I’m currently weighing in at 213 lbs. I am going to drop that down to 190 lbs. and then I’m going to switch gears from cardio focus with weights as a fat loss tool, to using weights as a muscle building tool and using cardio to keep the fat at bay.
