I havent posted in here for a while! Rest assured I have not slacked off on my training for even a day. My diet was crap last week, so this week I decided to start a keto diet. I am now eating the final meal of day 3 and I’m going really well, no real carb cravings and only the odd headache - and plenty of energy, more than when I was eating carbs. Doing the training program outlined in the "Step by Step" keto thread in the nutrition forum, and my triceps, chest and shoulders are so sore today.
Seems so wrong eating a diet that is 65% fat, but I’m not really having any problems at all. I bought some ketostix, which I will try soon to make sure I am undergoing ketogenesis. I have a hens weekend this weekend, I dont think the diet will be too hard to keep up, I’ll just eat my meat and cheese and everyone will just think I am joining in the fun

Was in a foreign gym on Saturday, went to the country to visit mum and dad and went for a workout there too, equipment was very poor but I got a workout in nonetheless.

Was going to do shoulders but decided I’ll do them tomorrow. Also decided to couple arms back up with back/biceps. Thinking of going back to the gym later this evening for another 30 mins cardio.

Chest - 12 sets
Legs are still sore from the deadlifts I did a few days ago…. they always make me sore for ages. Trying to decide whether or not I should go back after work to knock over another 30 mins cardio, get things rolling a little faster, but with the sore legs I’m not sure. Tomorrow is my rest day so I think I might just do it, nice and light intensity. Daniel is cooking me a chocolate cake for my birthday so it might be good to at least offset that one slice I’ll allow myself :p

Legs still sore today, took it easy on them. Decided to split arms, back and chest instead of doing back/biceps and chest/triceps because I don’t think I’m concentrating on my biceps enough. Getting nice definition on the triceps though, so I’ll go from a 4 day split to a 5 day split. Will add arms in after chest day if the triceps arent too tender from the day before.

Sore hammies today, took it light on the cardio. It’s my birthday in 2 days, bf is baking me a cake - have been good this week so I won’t feel guilty having a slice Have a girlfriends hens weekend coming up next month (20th), so I’m going to be away from exercise equipment for 2 days… and who knows what the deal will be with food. I hope I can take my own, but I dont want to upset the bride to be if she has something planned already. We’ll see what develops.
