Time to unleash the beast

As i said today would be my day back to lifting.So it is written, so it shall come to pass.Im pumped and ready for it.Time to tear a new one into the gym.Enough said ,lets do this!

One more day

Friday, April 13th, 2007

Tommorrow will be my last day from a "break".I have lots of stored energy and I’m hungry.So I have chosen Sunday to be my first day back into training.Once again I will continue this long and neverending journey.It feels like i’ve been off from training forever.What will it be?Legs?Chest?Arms?Back?I’m not sure but whatever I decide its going to be intense.Come Sunday i will unleash the beast.Those weights will be nothing as I enter the realm of The Iron Warrior.So as I prepare myself to accomplish what others once told me I could never do,I embrace whatever comes at me.I look forward to seeing the radical changes that will occur.Nothing can stop me now and the fire that burns deep within me is in a rage.I will say no more and let my training speak for itself.I am the Iron Warrior who has come to fullfill his destiny.Now brothers and sisters of iron ,I will once again be on my way.This is the life I have chosen and I intend to keep it that way.Live life to the fullest and don’t hesitate to reach for what you really desire.

Cardio

Wednesday, April 11th, 2007

Yesterday was a pretty tough day for me.I did as a friend recommended.On the treadmill I did 8 mph for 5 min then down to 7mph for 5 more minutes.Rest for 1 1/2 minutes then repeat.I did this  4 times.Then we hit the bag,3 minutes non stop and rest for 1 minute.Again for 4 sets.We finished with some grappling .Our goal is to build endurance.i’m still not back to lifting ,but the pain is just around the corner.I will go back into it hardcore.

I believe my time has come.After taking some time off to heal some minor joint pain,i’m ready to make my return.Here are some goals i have set for myself.1.add about 10-15 lbs to my frame.2.reduce my bodyfat.3.add 20-50lbs to my main lifts.4.Be a better person.That is my main goal.I will stive for perfection.This promises to be a great year for me.I will go at it full force and accomplish everything I set my mind to.

Almost ready

As I sit here ,I eagerly await my return to the gym.I’ve lost count of the days but I think 7 to 10 days is plenty.My joints no longer bother me,it was mainly my left elbow.I will go back at it full force and meet my goals.I’m expecting to break some personal records while gaining new muscle mass.I will post some pics and the rest will be history.

Somewhere out there

Somewhere out there,there is a guy training like a madman.When others are out clubbing,partying,going to social gatherings,this guy is either at the gym or at home resting.While some go out to eat at thier favorite resturaunt,this guy prepares his own nutritious food.This guy is reclusive and very determined.He goes to the gym with one single purpose,to train.He doesn’t see the gym as a place to socialize and make new friends,no this is a sanctuary,no talking,no time to stop and see how much so and so are lifting.He gets it done and then disappears back to his lair.He’s been working very hard to attain his goals,letting nothing get in his way.At times people think of him as bieng arrogant or shallow.But that is not the truth,his drive and determination are what some people can’t comprehend.Some even envy how his body has evloved and the person he has become.No one knows the amount of hard work he has put in.This guy has pushed himself to the brink of madness.To a point where nothing else matters.Somewhere out there,there is a guy who is doing what many others thought was impossible.He has stood the test of time and sees no reason to discontinue his way of life.Somewhere out there the person i have described is real,could that be you?

Time off

Not much going on today.Just here relaxing,finally decided to take a break.I never really do this but i’ve decided to take 7-10 days off from lifting.The main reason bieng joint pain in my left elbow.I’ll still be doing cardio,abs,maybe legs(light weight).But for now I think it’s best to try and heal.After this i will return to normal.I plan on making some changes to my physique,the pictures I post will tell the story.

New Location

Friday, April 6th, 2007

The gym where i currently train is not a big gym.One of the things i like about it is ,it’s 24hrs.I can go in any given day and reach that state of mind only possible to me through an intense workout.There are free weights( my favorite) and machines ,both cardio and weight machines.The gym owner is a close friend of mine ,his stats are 6′4 245lbs  with 21 inch guns,he’s a big dude.He has informed me that we will be moving to a new location,somewhere downtown.Everything will be the same except he  has purchased more machines and there is more space at the new location.I’m not a big fan of weight machines so I guess I’m not to thrilled.He has also thought a name for the gym,something about"fitness" .I can’t remember what exactly.My point is ,I’m more into the hardcore bodybuilding atmosphere.At times I miss that little building with rusted plates.Torn benches and mixed colored plates.No air conditioner and no heater.It was hot as hell in the summer and in the winter I could see my breath everytime I exhaled.I did have some grueling and intense workouts here.Lots of sweat,effort,and pain(muscular)was left in there.This was the very first gym i went to.Even before the one now where my friend wants to turn into a fitness center. I guess he has decided to expand and go after the money.It’s a smart choice by him,but disappointing to me.I will continue to workout at his gym,but I do miss that grimey,overcrowded,dungeon.That place no longer exists but everytime I pass by,memories emerge.This is just a dark place in my mind where thoughts and emotions flow freely.This is my life,this is who I am.

 

Cardio

I will be joining a friend of mine to some cardio today.This is the only day that i have a workout partner.He really pushes me and thats what i like.We different things like jumping rope,running indoors and outdoors,sparring,hitting the bag,agility drills and so forth.I want to get back to having the endurance i once had.it’s tough but I know it’s still possible.

It’s good to visualize the workout before actually entering the gym.Have it set in your mind that failure is not an option.They say the mind controls the body,if the mind is conditioned to enter such state ,i believe it to be true.One of the things i’ve learned along this journey is that you have to really want it and get after it.No excuses and no feeling bad for yourself if you don’t meet your goals immediately.We have nothing but time so we must make each moment count.Along the road you will find others who want you to fail and will try to discourage you.So do it for yourself and no one else.Think positive and remember that if you didn’t get it right this time,there is always another time.Hard work and dedication is something that comes from within and cannot be given to you or bought.Make a commitment and stick to it.We are all human and we make mistakes,but rather than dwelling on the past,use those mistakes as a lesson learned.You and only you have the power to be a success or a failure,so decide now.
