Don’t be afraid

Monday, May 7th, 2007

This goes out to begginers. As I have witnessed time and time again, the same thing keeps happening. If you are new to working out and feel intimidated, don’t do what so many others do.Thier first exercise is bench press, why? Why do so many people opt for the bench?I’m not trying to put anyone down but c’mon!Show some class, show that you are serious.Doing 135lbs for 5 all out reps does and proves nothing. Then follow up with the infamous e-z bar curls, why? If you don’t know how to train properly ,ask. Lots of people are willing to help,as long as you really are serious.so next time you join a new gym or go in for a workout, show others that you are there for a reason.Don’t be afraid, everyone started somewhere, but those who truly dedicated themselves and kept going, look the way they look, and lift as much as they lift, because they did it right.

Boxing Match

Thursday, May 3rd, 2007

This weekend I’ll be watching DeLahoya vs. Mayweather.Promises to be a classic.I like Oscar’s style but Mayweather is undefeated. My prediction is the following:If DeLaHoya can put Mayweather in trouble early(before round 6)then Oscar has a great chance of winning. But if Mayweather can avoid DeLaHoya’s power punches and Oscar gases out, then it’s all Mayweather.Only thing I’m not sure of is Mayweather’s punching power,is he a knock out artist? My decision goes to Mayweather, hope to see a great fight.

Visualization

Wednesday, May 2nd, 2007

This is something I do everyday. Before my workout I imagine myself performing every set and every rep.I examine my form and the pace.Every movement is done with the sole purpose to stimulate growth.Once in the gym,i also visualize my muscles swelling up to massive proportions.Over the years the mind muscle connection has been my "weapon of mass destruction".Training has become a second nature to me.Mentally preparing myself through visualization has helped me overcome many obstacles and burst through plateaus as well.

Everything must go!

Saturday, April 28th, 2007

That is my mentality about building a better body.I leave no muscle or body part untrained.Just like I hit chest so must my forearms, calves, neck, and abs go.Every body part is just as important as the other. No shortcuts and no "i’ll do those tommorrow".Solid training and proper form ,no excuses. When it is all said and done the results speak for themselves.I have an entire lifetime ahead of me and this journey isn’t going to take me anywhere unless i put one foot in front of the other. So it is time to get going.

Marking your territory

Friday, April 27th, 2007

Get psyched up on your way to the gym. When you enter it’s like hitting a switch.A switch that turns you from human to a beast.Go straight to the appropriate spot where you will be performing your workout.Grab the weights and pound out those reps.Feel your muscles getting swollen by the minute.Use weights that only a select few will be able to handle properly.Take as much time as necessary to accomplish what you are in there for.Talk to no one unless it’s very important.Remember this is your world and everyone else is just a stranger. When your muscles are so pumped and tired and you feel like they want to burst,go for those extra reps. When you finish rack up your weights and head for the door.Once you exit and get in your vehicle, you can now look in your rearview mirror, you can now be human agian.Next time you enter the gym, those who saw you last time, will immediately clear your area. That is because you are an animal to them, and you have marked your territory.

It has begun

Wednesday, April 25th, 2007

There is no doubt that my strength has already jumped. The weight i once had trouble with is no longer heavy. This is my year.I have great expectations and I plan on accomplishing everything I put my mind to.This is the reason I love doing what I do.The mind controls the body, and right now my mind is telling it to grow.

Im feeling it

Monday, April 16th, 2007

Day two on my journey back from a time out.I can defintrly feel the power once again returning to me.Great pumps and almost no strength loss.Once again I will go all out and leave nothing out.Time for another "growth spurt".I plan on making this my best year yet. This indeed is a lifelong journey and I vow to do so till father time alows me.Once again the spirit of the Iron Warrior has possessed me.The Gods of Iron have called me and I have responded.I will succeed ,there is no doubt. This is my life, this is who I am.
