Saturday? Must be leg day!

Saturday, September 27th, 2008

The gym had 3 people in it when I arrived. Two of them were some younger guys, one was a big guy and the other was his toadie.  They were hanging out at the PT desk, feet up, relaxing. They don’t work there, of course, they were just lounging. My question is: why? I like the gym, but there are more comfy chairs in the lounge area - leather, big screen TV with the remote. I thought perhaps they were too beat-up from a rough leg day to get to the locker room. Then I remembered we do have an elevator. They were closer to the elevator than the stairs. Hmmm… I have no idea.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the gym. I just don’t understand the desire to spend more time there than your workout (and maybe some posing practice or something).

I spent some time working on my posing today after killing my legs & doing some LI cardio, but definitely need more work. I just need to find the time!! Pics will be coming this weekend and every weekend thereafter (at least). If I can figure out a great place to set up my camera for the timer, I’ll be doing daily pics.

relaxing

Friday, September 26th, 2008

Today was arms & calves day + LI cardio (can’t forget it). :) More cardio this afternoon, as well. :) I’m in a lower weight, higher rep phase and I am always amazed that I can get a good burn from 15 rep sets. It feels good to take it nice and slow - prolong the pleasure. Yeah, baby!  I’m still not 100%, but I’m getting there.

Last night was freakin’ great. Sure I’m still a bit sick and my poor wife is still quite sick (she needs more rest time), but we were able to just relax on the couch and watch some TV. We don’t get a lot of time to just relax, stop thinking about the craziness our life is quickly becoming, and just enjoy a silly show together. Really, it could’ve been anything on television or it could’ve been a bad movie. The important part was we didn’t have to think about the move or the language barrier or the insane amount of planning still needed or the lack of information currently available or the party we are planning or the upcoming holidays or the contest I’m in or the diet I’m on or the cat or the kid or the lawn or any gosh darn thing . We just "vegged". A perfectly relaxing evening. Very nice.
