My body is feeling better, at least according to my wife who can’t keep her hands to herself. ;)

Seriously, though, I am feeling a bit better today.  I can breathe through my nose for the first time in over a week.  That’s great, too, because I have a dentist appointment today and I would have to cancel if I was still sick.

I did back & cardio today.  I’ve been doing deads on back day, which seems silly, but allows me to separate them from squats on leg day.  Otherwise, I wouldn’t be able to walk on the weekends. :)

FYI: new progress pics in my bodyspace.  I’m going to try to update those at least once a week, preferably more often, though. :)

I’d love to take a nap today at some point, but I don’t see that happening.  I have German training at lunch, so there just isn’t time.  I’m having silly fantasies about learning a language through implantation rather than repitition!  Like bodybuilding, though, you have to put in the time to get good at it.

maybe need some more caffeine

I feel grumpy and sleepy this morning.  I had a carb-up meal last night and I think it’s making me feel sluggish.  I had an awful chest workout and struggled through my cardio this morning.  Ugly!

I had some killer cravings over the weekend. My son convinced me to stop by a local bakery on Saturday for a chocolate chip cookie (one of those things he never really gets to have). It was very hard not to get one for myself. I didn’t even get a bite of my son’s! Sunday was worse - we went to the apple orchard for cider. I didn’t have a taste or a donut, but it was not easy to say no. These are my first real cravings - where I was really jonesing for something I wouldn’t let myself have. I have a feeling these next few weeks are not going to be easy.

The good news is that I feel relatively healthy.  I’m still a bit congested, but that seems to be going away.  Now if I could just find the time for a decent night’s sleep, I’m sure I’d be back to perfect health in no time! :)
