EAT!

Food!  It’s all about food!

My latest nutrition plan has me eating a heck of a lot of food in the morning.  I eat one meal as soon as I get up (a full meal, mind you).  Then I wait an hour and have my pre-w/o creatine / BCAA’s.  During the workout, more BCAA’s for me!  Post w/o I have 45 minutes to get in my next meal - which is freakin’ HUGE!  By the time I get to work, I feel like I’ve eaten enough to keep me going for the full day.  The interesting thing is the ridiculous amount of veggies in my plan: 7 servings!  I am seriously never hungry.  If anything, I have trouble eating all the food I’m supposed to.  It’s such a great change of pace from a cutting diet.

Did I mention that I lost a pound while in Germany?  I need to buy a new casual belt because my old one is now at it’s smallest hole.  …and my pants are starting to get far too lose in the waist.  Thankfully, my frickin’ huge thighs are holding them up or I would be rather embarrased as I chase my son down the street in my boxers. :)   (The question is would I trip over my pants or would they just fly off on their own.)  Interesting thoughts for a Tuesday morning, I’d say.

So, anyway, I did get in some killer intervals this AM.  I love doing intervals on my bike.  There is just so much satisfaction knowing how fast you can go under your own power.  Speed is sexy.

Day 1 back in action

I woke up this morning at 3AM.  Why?  Well, because it’s 9AM in Germany.  Apparently, my body has not yet adjusted to time at home.  It should make for another fun evening, though.  Last night while I was reading my son a bedtime story, I fell asleep.  He woke me up and I finished the story, but I think he felt bad for me because he didn’t give me a hardtime about going to bed (an odd occurrence in our house).  At least I’ve got that going for me! :D

Well, the workout this AM was good.  It’s the beginning of a new phase for me: bulking up again.  I’m trying to take it slower this time to avoid getting "fat" which, well, sucks in the summertime.  I want to be a lean mean machine at the beach this year!  I sort of like showing off when the other kids are there with their fat dads. :)   I also really like feeling good about doing yard work without my shirt on.  There is nothing better than having the neighborhood drooling over the hottie in the big house (except of course having my wife drooling over me).

Anyway, I’m already sore and that is just freakin’ great.  My back is nice and tight, so I’m sure I’ll be ready for a hot shower & massage this evening.  Now I just have to convince my wife she needs to give it to me. :)
