cardio thinking
Tuesday, November 27th, 2007I got in my cardio this morning, 30minutes of aerobic training. Fun times…. I was watching an old DVD of the TDF (Tour de France) while riding my bike. Although I do love to ride my bike, I know that I will never compete at that level. Heck, I doubt I’ll ever do a race again as a real competitor. I think triathletes / cyclists are one side of a coin. They spend so much time being cardio-masters (What else do you call someone who does 20hours of cardio / week for fun?) that they mostly forget about muscle development and real world strength. I can’t see myself going back to being a 130lb guy. My problem with this realization is that I love to compete. It’s part of my hard-wiring. I want to compete when I race. I want to be competitive in anything I do. So, what the hell am I doing?
Damn cardio always makes me think!
