Today was a really rough workout.  I didn’t get a lot of sleep last night and was tired when my feline alarm clock woke me up at 3:20AM.  I persevered, though, and got in a solid workout I can feel good about.  (See my journal for info on that.)

Of course, I also discovered last night when I got home from work that the blower on my HVAC unit isn’t functioning at full capacity.  I had to remove it and clean it to get it to work acceptably.  I’ll probably have to replace the motor tonight.  (That’s why I didn’t get much sleep last night - stayed up to work on the blower.)  …at least the weekend is here, though, so I’ll have the time to do it right.

The good news is that I am feeling pretty strong, though amazingly tired.  I think my workouts are coming along nicely.  I can’t believe how strong my post-op arm is!  I honestly thought it would be significantly behind my other arm, but it keeps up pretty well.  Hopefully, that means I’ll be able to pack on the muscle again quickly! ;)

After a long hard day at work yesterday, I got to go home to a nice big plate of eggs.  Yum! :D   Today will be another long day, but I should be home early enough to eat with my wife & son.  I really think that is so important for a family - time together, eating good food and talking about the day.

Well, enough of that, eh?  I did some cardio this AM: 30 minutes.  I’m thinking although I love the cardio, I need to start doing less aerobic work and more HIIT.  While trying to build muscle, I don’t think I have the time needed to do long aerobic workouts (at least for now).  I will still try to keep one long & slow workout on the weekends, but HIIT during the week as possible. :)
