Music for the best workouts

For me, the music I listen to is a huge part of a succesful workout. If the song is right, at the right time, it can give me the boost I need to grit my teeth and keep going for just a few minutes more either on the treadmill or during a lifting set. For me, it isn’t the actual music that helps me, but the image it puts in my head. For this reason, I listen to a lot of music that I can attribute to something hardcore. I like a lot of movie scores, because they make me think of a point in that movie that was particularly awesome. For example, any arnold theme is obviously good, ie. Total Recall, True Lies, Commando etc. For some reason or another when I see a good youtube bodybuilding video and it has music, when I hear the song it reminds me of the video. There are a few Twista, Jadakiss and Chamillionaire tracks that remind me of Ronnie Coleman vids. Shinedown, Breaking Benjamin remind me of Jay Cutler vids. If you are looking for some great gym music, try this. Watch a video first, one you really like and that motivates you. Download the soundtrack from it and listen to it in the gym. You will feel like Ronnie Coleman doing an 800Lbs deadlift.
