Anatomy and Physiology Week 3

February 8, 2008

When you think toxic substances you think the substance itself is toxic right?  Well, a toxic compound may not be as toxic as you think.  For example, many know that taking too much tylenol is a bad thing.  However, the tylenol itself is not toxic. A substance that tylenol is broken down into is actually the toxicant.  The good new is that your body can activate or deactivate the toxicant according to which metabolic pathway it is broken down in your body.

So school has ended for the semester and I am just happy to get a little bit of a break before the spring semester begins.  With my free time I have decided it’s time to take my transformation to the next level.  I have decided that I would like to tone up and get some definition but not go to the gym. I am going to get some home gym equipment and work out from home.  It’s definitely more of a comfort for me knowing that I can workout in my pajamas and basically do what I want without having to worry how long I am on one machine or to wait for one to be open.  Muscles here I come!
