Day 16………
Urrrggg!!! Frustration kicks in. I know I was a little relaxed on my diet last week but I felt I hit the gym hard enough to compensate. I WAS WRONG!!! How discouraging to work hard and see no changes!! It’s not like I went off the deep end either. I posted my updated measurements and photos in the corresponding sections on my profile. Adjustment time! I have been doing relatively the same routine for a few months now with only minor changes to the split. This week I am going to change everything completely, especially now that I’m a full week of progress behind my goals. My split has been
Day 1: chest/tri’s
Day2: Legs/calfs/abs
Day3: shoulders/abs
Day4: back/bi’s
Random cardio (very little)
My new split that I started yesterday is:
Day1: Bi’s/Tri’s/fore arms……….Cardio 30-60min
Day2: Legs/abs
Day3: chest……. Cardio 30-60min
Day4: back/abs
Day5: shoulders……… Cardio 30-60min
Work has idled back this week so my eating should get back on track and my stress level should go down. Any other suggestions on how I can make up a week?

Day 12…
I am so glad this week is finally over. Work has been crazy and my motivation has been up and down. It has take all that I’ve got to stay on track. Unfortunately I have to start over on the smoking thing. Today I had 3 of the best cigarettes EVER! I wish I could say I feel bad or guilty but I don’t and I’m not!! TGIF!!!
I’m still getting these strong huger attaches mid day and at night. I have tried to have a protein shake to curb the craving but to be honest they all taste like shit and I need substance. Never fear though instead of hitting the vending machine I when to the grocery store now my cubical looks like a product department! This doesn’t help me achieve my protein goals but it does fill me up and it is all natural so how bad can it be?? (Apples, bananas, and reduced fat/ sugar free peanut butter)
I do not feel this week was as productive for me as last week… gym wise anyway. I have been work from 7am to 8 or 9pm every day this week so I have been very productive work wise. If it wasn’t for my alarms I set on my phone I would have most certainly skipped meals. With this schedule I have felt rushed in my work outs and I’m not so sure that’s a good thing. I can tell you that hitting the gym mid day has really helped me reduce my stress level at work. Instead of strangling some of my employees or my boss, I take it out on the weights. I hope I have not been sacrificing form…. At least I’m in there getting something done! I have move picture day and measurement day to Mondays so we will see then. Right now I am looking forward to sleeping in and relaxing all weekend long. I will try to change up my work out routine. I have been doing the same thing for over a month and a half now. My body needs a wakeup call. Hope everyone has a wonderful safe weekend! Later!!!

Day 9 month 3..
WoW!! What a day! Moment of truth day. I took measurements after one full week of better than normal eating (well at least better than normal for me) I did not really feel like I have made any progress and the pics I took look the same as last week. I still weigh relatively the same but I was pleasantly surprised when I took measurements. Body fat was 19.5 now 18.5; Chest was 42 now 41(not sure what to make of this one); arm was 14 now 14.5; hip was 41.3 now 41.8(this one was weird too); thigh was 22.1 now 22; calf was 14.5 now 14.5; for arm was 11.1 now 11.8; shoulders were 49.8 now 49. So the results were kid of mixed but the big deal for me was the reduction in body fat and the reduction in waist size.
With that said it looks like I’m on track to hit my short goal of 17% bf and 34” waist by December 1st!! This is exactly what I needed to get me pumped up to hit the gym today. I just finished my work out and for the first time in over a year I’m back in the 300lbs bench press club! Woo Hoo! Today was also a good diet day. About a gallon of water and 5 meals so far. I still need to work on getting enough protein and I defiantly need to pick up the cardio. Today was a good day! Later…………………

Day8 Month3…
Ok what a weekend. It’s incredible difficult to eat health when I go out of town. I traveled to Houston this weekend to visit my mom and dad. I really tried to eat clean but my mom can really cook and none of it is health and well …… I didn’t want to be rude
So here I am again starting over a new week trying to get back on the wagon after falling off.
Today has been good my body is getting use to eating every 2-3 hours. I find that if I try to go longer than that without eating my hunger and cravings become stronger and I’m more likely to binge on something not healthy. So I have started to carry a shaker and a lean body shake package with me so I can always stop and get some water and keep eating clean. Today was supposed to be progress update day however I’m still at work!! So I will try to get it done late tonight or before work tomorrow. I’m curious to see if I made any progress. I don’t feel I like I have. I feel bloated from all this water and protein.
I did make to the gym for lunch. Today was back and bi day. I felt weak and not really into it. Probably because of my poor decisions I made over the weekend. None the less I pressed through and I’m glad I did. The old me would have stay away from the gym and probably get a cheeseburger. I want so bad to break this pattern. So I press on. Hopefully my measurements and pics will show some positive signs of change. I have been doing this work out for about 5 weeks now. Time to change it up!! Well got to step in to a meeting so……………later

Day 5 Month 3
FRIDAY!!! Woo Hoo!! I thought at first today was going to be a repeat of yesterday. I woke up this morning around 2:30am with a sever headache. This one was so bad my vision was literally blurred. I don’t normally get headaches unless I’m sick so I’m not sure if this classified as a migrant or not. All I know is that the back of my head hurt like hell, my neck was sore, and my vision was blurred. I took 800mg of Ibuprofen and was able to get back to sleep. When I woke up again I could tell that I still had as slight headache but nothing close to what it was and it eventually subsided.
So…. Today was suppose to be progress pic day but due to my slight eating binge yesterday I have decided to sync progress pic and measurement day up. I will post them on Monday. I’m feeling better with more energy than normal. I do get some incredibly strong hunger attaches in the evenings though. I don’t know if by body needs more or my metabolism is picking up or if I’m over doing it at the gym. I’m hoping it’s temporary. Does anyone have any insight on this?
Considering how the day started I thought it was going to be “one of those” days again. After my headache went away and I got my coffee I feel amazingly well. I’ve been drinking water all morning and have had my protein shake and I’m itching to get to the gym. With that said I’m going to get lunch and a quick workout!!! Till tomorrow………..

Day 4 Month3 ..
I find it weird that some days I can be so fired up and just itching to go to the gym then the very next day have no motivation at all. Well today was one of those no motivation days. Unfortunately I did not make the time to get to the gym. This seems to be a chronic issue with me for some reason. Just yesterday I wanted to go the gym twice and today I did not want to go at all. To compound this motivational issue I cheated on my diet at lunch. It was one of those free pizza deals and well I’m WEAK!! I felt horrible afterward and I did the only recovery I could think of by eating well the rest of the day. Till tomorrow..

Day 3 Month3 …. Ok I managed to finish of yesterday on a good note. I completed my leg work out and added 10mins on the treadmill and 10 mins on the elliptical machine. It may not sound like much but for me this is good! Remember I’m only on day 3 without a cigarette and I HATE cardio!!!
Unfortunately my little boy was sick to day so I had to stay home with him after going to the doctors. Strep throat Yuck!! Poor little man. This did however give me a change to eat better than normal. Let’s see… Shake 8am, sliced turkey at 10:30, hamburger (patty only) 12:30, superpump250 12:45, GYM 1:30 (was able to get a sitter for an hour), shake with glutamine at 3:30….. so today is going well in that regard.
I am super motivated though I feel like I should get back to the gym tonight but I know is best if I don’t. I don’t want to over train. Today day was supposed to be an off day but I decided that I need to work on my cardo. Today I did 15 min on the treadmill and 20 min on the elliptical. My lungs and legs felt like they were on fire!! No pain no gain right?!? Until tomorrow…… J

Day 2 month 3.. I feel I need to clarify how long I am into my latest quest. I started lifting on 9/2/08 however that’s all I have been doing. No cardio, no diet, and no supplement. Thus minimal success. I have started to get serious starting yesterday. Working on the diet, cardio, and supplementing as needed. With that said I finally got a chance to get some supplements I want to try today. Want to get the staples Protein, creatine, Glutamine, and Multi Vitamin an go from there. I bought ON’s Pro Complex protein, Gaspari Superpump 250, Essential Glutamine, ZMA, and Vitrix (don’t know if I going to start taking the vitrix right away.) They were out of the multi Vitamin I wanted so I will have to wait for that a few days.
With all of that I have continued to drink shit load of water. I still have my Starbucks coffee in the morning, I think they put crack in that stuff because I’m addicted to it!! I have failed to eat enough throughout the day. Is was coffee, 1L water, superpump, gym, chicken sandwich, 1L water and now shake (4:00pm) I need to plan my day out better so I can make progress on this. I think know that I have a financial tie I will be even more motivated. I’m not about to let $150.00 of product go to waste!!
Oh yeah… I almost forgot…. I am on day 2 of no smoking!!

Ok day 1. After a good long Halloween weekend full of beer pizza beer candy beer cake beer more pizza and watching UT choke the Texas Tech game which lead to more beer and more pizza…. Monday is finally here. I’m fired up and ready to make this happen. I do feel like a bum from eating so recklessly over the weekend but whatever what’s done is done. Oh and one other obvious thing became really apparent over the weekend. I have to stop smoking. Kind of a no brainer but it wasn’t until I was wrestling with my 15 year old son and his fried did I realized it has become hard for me to breath!!
So it’s about 3pm on day one I have been drinking water all day thus the 8million trips to the bathroom. I am behind on my eating. I had coffee for breakfast, a banana and water mid morning, grilled chicken sandwich for lunch with diet DP, and water when I got back to work, and just down an ABB extreme body RTD shake. YUCK!! But it has 50g or protein and only 9 carbs. I had planned to start supplementing today but have not had the chance to get to the store and I’m still confused on what I should get. I did get to the gym this morning though and im planning on getting 20 to 40min of cardio in tonight.
