Training

Yesterday was chest day and for some reason when i got there i was not in the mood.  I think it was because i did not have a partner to work with.  Usually my wife is with me and we workout together but she has been sick this week.  I have a thing about asking for a spot so i do not push myself as hard.  Somehow knowing my wife is there to spot helps she has gotten to be a great spotter.  She does not come in until she can see a look on my face and then she gets in there.  I know she is way to little to really lift the weight if it became a problem but at least she could get someone to help.  I dont like to ask people to spot because one i dont want them under the bar with me the whole time and they dont know the look i guess so they either get in to early or to late.  Plus i really dont want to disturb them from their routine either.  I hope my wife gets better soon.  She is my best friend workout partner and life partner.  It really sucks when all of those people are sick.  Especially since it is just one of those run you into the ground viruses that nothing can be done about.

Fat loss question?

I am using the Bodybugg from 24 hour fitness.  It comes with a program that takes measurements and puts them into your computer and allows you to track your food.  I have been consitantly been burning 5000 + calories a day and about 1000 of them are work outs.  I am taking in >3000 calories a day.  I know the split is probably to high and this could effect my weight loss.  The problem is i feel full all day if i eat 6 times a day.  And not the just not hungry full but an i ate to much full.  I have started drinking 2 scoops of whey instead of snacks and this has been very helpful.  My question is how much does not having the proper calorie burn to intake ratio effect the weight loss.  I do not want to just be adding calories for this if i can still get the fat to come off.  My diet has been the hardest part to get to where it needs to be.  I am als taking a thermogenic fat burner so i know this is one reason the calorie burn is higher.  Because i am sitting at a desk for 90% of my work day right now.  I welcome all suggestions since this seems to be the weekest area for me.

Yesterday was shoulder day and this is the day i dislike the most.  I don’t know why i dont like working my shoulders.  I think that when they are looking better I might be more inspered to work them even harder.  I am trying to get some kind of deffinition in my arms.  So far they are just getting bigger but they have no shape.  Oh well in time everything will look better.  I have a good attitude about my fitness level and where i want it to be.  I think for the first time I have realized this is not an overnight success story and that it is going to take time.  I am willing to put in the work and keep setting small goals for myself.  My eating has improved drastically and i actually enjoy eating healthy.  I remember a few weeks back going to McDonalds and getting a quarter pounder.  I had not had one in a while.  I dont think i will again either.  I couldn’t believe i used to eat 2 or 3 of those a week.  Gross!  Oh well i am paying for years of unhealthy living but the great thing about the human body is that we can always kiss and make up with it.  Now i dont eat like that and i feel good all day.  I have the energy to get my body where i want it.  Thanks to some of the people on this site I am better informed and on the right path.

Weekend

OK so the Lonhorns beat Mizzou like a red headed step child.  So did my diet beat me on Saturday.  It was a cheat day but i slipped more that i intended.  Pizza, soda and cookies for the game.  Other than that i made healthy choices.  The bad part is i did not go to the gym either day.  I got a 1 hour sports massage on Sunday since i have not been sleeping well at night be cause my muscles are tigh because i dont strech as much as i should.  So now i feel like i am ready to conquer the world.  Today i am going to the gym and going to up my cardio up to 45 min. plus i will lift before.  Hope all is well with everyone else.

Well we are at the end of another week. Football game tomorrow night is the big thing to look forward to.  Hook Em Horns!  The first week back on this new Regime that i have started went real good.  I have actually log it and did it for the whole week.  I even logged my food this week on the Body Bugg Website.  That is gotta be a first for me.  Looking forward to the gym tonight Chest and Tri’s with some ab work and cardio.  Will do more cardio this weekend and even more abb work.  I have more ab area than most of the people on this web site.  The have six packs to my keg.  Have a great weekend.

Suppliments

Is there anything to be said for sticking with the same brand of suppliments.  It is about time to get new fatburner and Superpump.  Between BCAA, Fatburner, Preworkout energy and Test booster I use 4 different brands.  BSN and Gaspari seem to have 3 of the 4 and i just wondered if they worked better if you stick with the same brand.  Because i really like Superpump 250 but have heard NoXplode is the same and has good results as well.  Help.

Mass Frequincy

I started a routine again.  I had done it befor but then switched it to another.  I really like the Mass Frequency work out from Muscle and Fitness magazine.  It is a few months old but man does it seem to do the trick.  I feel like each time i work a body part i am lifting more and more.  Last night was no exception.  The other thing is the SuperPump 250, maybe i am just on some kind of high this morning but i feel great after my workout last nigh and cant wait to go back tonight.  I guess i sound like i am drinking the Kool aide straight from the pitcher, But i am sold on this workout and current round of suppliments.  I am using the T-bomb 2, BCAA’s, L-Carnitine, and Fireball TNT.  These plus the superpump make feel unstoppable.  Any way gotta go make the Kool-Aide.

Still trying

Jus got my BF done again and there was no change.  That really sucks.  My weight is the same and everything.  So it was not like i got worse so there is a positive in it all i guess.  I can still fit a normal bath towel around my waist.  The diet is the hardest thing for me.  My problem is i dont want to cook once i get done with 8 hours at work plus 2 at the gym then the drive home.  So i will grab something on the way home for me and the wife.  We trie to make the healthy choices opting for Subway, Jasons Deli and the like but it is still no replacement for good home cooking.  Tonight i am resting so i can go get the food i need to loose some of this weight.

I cant complain to much though because strength gains are doing very well.  I am lifting more now than when I was in High School.  It is strange to me that i had such a hard time gaining strength when i was 14-18 but now that i am 35 it seems like each week i add more weight and can still do the reps.  I thought it would take forever to get back to the weight i lifted in school but i have passed that months ago.

 I dont know about the diet part as much as do the exercise part but i am trying to figure it out.  If you have any suggestions please let me know.
