Rough couple of days

Thursday, August 2nd, 2007

My partner and I have 3 dogs, and today we had to take one of the dogs to be put to sleep. My partner had the dog for 14+ years, she was the runt of the litter and was supposed to be left to die. The people John, my partner, got Katie from kept tryingto talk him into one of the "healthier" puppies. She was smart, she could open cabinet doors, if she was supposed to go into her kennel all you had to say was go to jail and she would go in, and pull the the kennel door closed with her paws. She became blind, deaf and was unable to walk up and down stairs, she was carried pretty much every day up and down the stairs to go outside. The other 2 dogs were very good to her, never jumped on her and kept her company.

Katie Aug 2, 2007

Worked out later that night and did as follows;

Seated Overhead Dumbbell Extension   3olbs 3×12/10/8

Flat Bench Dumbbell Fly                    Â
 Â  25lbs 3×12/8/8

Incline Dumbbell Fly                    Â
 Â Â Â Â Â Â Â 20lbs 3×12/8/8

Decline Dumbbell Fly                    Â
 Â Â Â Â Â  20lbs 3×12/8/8

One Arm Bent-over Lateral Raise          15lbs 3×8

One Arm Dumbbell Front Raise            15lbs 3×8

One Arm Dumbbell Lateral Raise         15lbs 3×8

*I have recently been losing strength in my Right arm, when I do flys and it gets to be around my centerline all of a sudden it feels like a something let go and I almost drop the dumbbell on my chest/face. Any suggestions, let me know. I’ve been keeping weight below my abilities on Left Arm so I can be consistent.

I’m really happy with the way this weight training is making me feel and look, it really helped me end a very sad couple of days (which will continue for a while) after finally losing Katie.

Thanks for all the great help to all those who encourage me.

Seeing some change

Friday, July 27th, 2007

Went to work-out today, stepped on scale and lost 3lbs in last week or so.

Scheduled with gym to have BF & measurements taken (8/31/07) for me to have base for tracking progress.

 Today-

3 sets of 25 each : -standard sit-ups

    -twist left

   -twist right

will put my workout with weights in later, don’t have all the names right, just know them from routine. Will put "official" names in, and try to make macro so I can just fill it in.

Alot of tinkerbells on the machines (which I don’t use right now) and a couple of chatty cathy guys in free weights.Tried to work around them and finally (with clenched teeth) asked if the one not holding any weights while talking was done with the weights I needed, he said he had one more set before they went back talking about thier favorite type of workout wear. I walked by in a few saying "stop trying to get laid" and they finally walked away chattering like Chip & Dale and freed up 3 sets of weights and 2 benches. Man, I love being a masculine gay male. I ain’t there to get tail princess, just want to work out.

It’s a start

Thursday, July 26th, 2007

I’ve been working out for a week now, do 225 situps, been concetrating on my upper body weight-wise and will start posting what my exact routine (type/weight/reps) hopefully later this week.

I’m really impressed how much people can change their whole look and outlook in life even as late as the game as me, 44 years-old is never too late to try to take control of this runaway life of mine.
