Hi there, hope you all had a wonderful Easter. I tried to cook all healthy foods that everyone else could also enjoy. First time I really felt like I cheated. But now it’s monday - that means leg day. My 15 year old son is going to accompany me to the gym to spot me and hopefully train some with me. He works out some already with my gym equipment at home. I showed him some of the photos from here and he was so motivated by them. He asked me if I could help him develope more muscle before summer is here. I talked to him about diet and training and asked him if he is willing to make the sacrifices. Time will tell…….

Hey everyone, how is it going? Yesterday was chest and bi’s. I had a great workout, really felt the blood in my bicepts afterwards. What a great feeling! It has only been 3 weeks but I can’t wait for the muscles to grow! I feel a difference and I think within a couple of more weeks I should have some great progress photos.

I really missed everyone when the site was down. Great to be back!This week started off bad. I am off Friday - Sunday from the gym. I painted the outside of the house most the day Sunday. Should have been exhausted but tossed and turned till 2:30am, up @ 5:30am for work and arrived home @ 9:00pm. Should have been extra exhausted right? NOT! Again could not fall asleep until midnight. I think it is because my body was all geared up for lifting. I am hoping to get back on track I am shooting for a great leg workout tonight. I should sleep like a baby.

Yesterday was leg day, I know everyone already knows I HATE LEG DAY. But I know what it can do for you. It’s all a mental game. If you can accomplish it in your mind then you can accomplish it with your body. I did 130lb squats, 45lb lunges, leg extentions and leg curls. Wobbled out to my car but not too sore this morning. Today is upperbody, I plan on working my chest and bi’s today. I love working chest or back . It is the area that transforms the quickest for me. Still on track with the diet. Just can’t wait to start seeing some muscle. My No Xplode should be here tomorrow. I’ll let ya know what I think.

I just ordered No Xplode and Evopro Protein Powder. I have heard such great feedback on the products I just had to have them. I have started a food journal on another website which allows me to track calories, carbs, sugars, fats and protein. It also has an area where you can enter excerises and it will total the calories burned by using your weight. I do worry that I am doing the right thing by bulking first and then cutting but if I cut now there really isn’t any muscle to show since I was not lifting heavy before. It’s hard because of being overweight before my mind plays tricks on me so I have to stay away from the scale and use the mirror an tape measure. It is not about my weight, it is about my body composition, which is undergoing changes right now.

Well yesterday I worked my upper body. Had a great workout and lifted heavier than before. I am not accustom to lifting heavy so I am breaking myself from doing lots of reps with lighter weight. The creatine is really helping with my endurance and strength. Also not as sore when I wake up in the morning. I am looking forward to taking measurements and pics this weekend. I have lost 1lb so far, even though that is not as important to me as body comp change.

Yesterday was leg day. Hate leg day but I know how important it is. I started taking some creatine even though my hubby advised against it. I want to see for myself if it will help me. I took it about 30 minutes before my leg routine. I did a warm up set with just the bar and then 70lbs x12, 110lbs x 2 sets of 12 then one last set at 70lbs to burn them. I spent about 45 minutes at the gym, legs felt like jello on the way out. But this morning I woke up for my cardio session and I was suprised that I wasn’t that sore. The second day is always worse so we’ll see. I have stuck to the diet like glue. I hate to say the words diet because it is really a lifestyle. I am trying to take in more protien, just hoping it causes muscle growth and not fat, because I am new at this part of it and not sure if I am getting too much or not enough.

I just started lifting again 3/12/07, very sore but it feels good. I will be taking measurements and photos for posting over the weekend. I am not much for pics but I was really sorry that I did not document my weekly progress when I lost all the weight. That would have been cool to look at later.
