Back On Track!!
Man do I have the best friends or what??? Thanks so much for everyone who left me words of encouragement and a cyber ass kicking on my last blog!! Guess that I just have to face the fact that I can’t always be the big bad Hard Core Mutha and I’m not really unbreakable!! Some pain and injuries are just to serious to work through!!
So I’m just gonna chill for the next few days and then on the 26th I’m gonna start my own personal challenge just me against me and see what I can accomplish!!
I’ll soon be posting starting pics…YIKES!! as well as starting stats and measurements….YIKES AGAIN!! My number one goal for the challenge is going to be just reclaiming my health! I’ll be starting out slow and I’ve decided I’m going to start with some circuit training using light weight giving my body every opportunity to heal and not doing any further damage. Then when I’m strong enough I’ll start hitting the heavy weights again!!!
I tried one circuit yesterday morning and I think it’s gonna work out pretty well. One circuit consist of……
5 minutes on the bike
chest press 25 reps light weight
3 minutes on stair stepper
5 minutes on bike
triceps pushdowns 25 reps light weight
leg extensions 25 reps light weight
5 minutes on bike
lat pulldowns 25 reps
leg curls 25 reps
That’s one circuit!! You move through the entire circuit as quickly as possible without resting keeping that heart rate up! I hope to start with 2 complete circuits and move up from there depending on how my body feels!! I’ve left curls and shoulder presses out of my routine for now as they cause me the most pain which really sucks cause I love working my shoulders!!! This should help me get my conditioning back to where it should be for lifting heavy!!
My personal challenge will last for 12 weeks and hopefully at the end of those 12 weeks I’ll be a new and improved Hard Core Mutha!!! Again thanks to the circle for bitch slapping me with a dose of reality and for having my back!! The circle rules!!!!

Sounds awesome bud. (And pretty strenuous in the kick your ass till you hate life kind of way lol). Good to see you are holding off on pushing areas that are still sore. That takes discipline too, and soon enough youll be able to work them in as your body recovers. The main thing is that you let it recover, and for that I wish you all the very best.

Sometimes being in the game is the hardest part! It’s not if your lifting 500 lbs or 100 lbs…it just matter that your lifting! You know your pain level…. just work off that! You are a HCM!!!!

Sounds like a great plan, Bryan! I love circuit training (not quite as hardcore as that, though lol) to keep the heart rate going. I think it should work well for you
