Sunday Morning Reflections!
Well here it is, Sunday morning and another week is nearly done. Another week closer to April 12th and my first contest!! Yipeeeeeee!! I think! LOL!
I really am getting very excited….it seems like everyday I see a change in myself. A curve here….a new muscle there, a different bulge that wasn’t there yesterday…..it’s all pretty damn cool.
This week has been really awesome as far as my workouts. I’ve hit it hard and like I said it is really starting to show. I fell back on the morning cardio a bit this week because it was freaking raining every morning and I will not run in the rain. It’s miserable having rain drip off your damn nose and having your clothes sticking to you and your damn shorts riding up higher and higher with every step you take. No thanks!!
I did step up my ab work this week though and that will continue till that dumb ass blob of goo is gone from around my belly and all I see are abs. I really believe abs and backs win contest so I’m hitting both very hard.
My diet has been right on all week except for a last night. My little granddaughter had her first birthday yesterday so I ate a small piece of cake and a little sliver of ice cream. That wasn’t too bad but on the way home we went by this old run down TruckStop where my wife and I used to go when we were dating. Actually we weren’t really dating…..we were both stuck in unhappy marriages and we use to meet there to cheat on our spouses….Don’t Judge Me!!! LOL!!
We just started out as friends at work and we used to go there after work and we always ordered a deep fried bologna sandwich with cheese and mayo and coffee. It was all very innocent at first….we just sat and talked and then we went home. Nothing romantic just 2 friends sharing a meal and a little conversation but the more we got to know each other the more we realized just how compatible we were.
I don’t know if any of you believe in soul mates and all that jive but if you do I’d have to say that Maggie and I are and try as we might to deny that back then we just couldn’t keep it from happening. So after a couple months of fighting it we finally give in and admitted we loved each other. (we had sex. LOL!)
Anyway, I think you see where I’m going with all this babble….we decided to stop there last night just like old times and have that deep fried bologna sandwich. I paid for it this morning but it sure brought back a lot of cool memories….especially when we made out in the parking lot like we used too. LMAO!!
To make up for that little cheat I got up this morning and ran till I puked….I mean I literally ran till I puked it was freaking disgusting!! I’m looking forward to another great week and I hope everyone else has a great week as well.

LOL…You are funny man. I’ll have to disagree with you on running in the rain. I do it every time I can so i can feel like rocky and beat my chest at the end! Have a great week sir.

You holier than thou fitness snob! A fried bologna sandwich?? JUST KIDDING!!! Hey, just this once, and a dang good reason to boot. That’s probably why you puked, you ate that LOL. I believe in soul mates - NOW. I think that’s a great story. But, hey, I’m a chick.

Bryan, I think Maggie should get a profile and write some blogs. I bet she would have some good stories too. I never liked bologna unless it was pan fried, never tried it deep fried but probably about the same, though hubby and I have tried deep fried hot dogs, lol. I am a hopeful romantic and since it took me three times to get it right, I wouldn’t judge you on how the two of you got together, not that I would anyway because what do I care how ya got together as long as you’re together and in love, who cares right.

I can definitely relate with your ‘how we met’ story. There’s a guy I can talk to for hours on end and its amazing how he can read my mind. He’s not my hubby, but probably should have been. Fried bologna is great with grits and eggs, not that Im allowed to eat ‘em anymore!
