Response to MsFitness Blog
A very smart, outspoken and beautiful woman wrote a blog today that I enjoyed very much and I wanted give it a little more attention and post my response to it in my blog and maybe elaborate a little more. You may read her blog and then read my following reply:
While I do find the beauty and power of the female muscular physigue very sexual and at times erotic I must agree that the kind of pic that you’re speaking of has nothing to do with the female physique. That pic was just vulgar and had nothing to do with bodybuilding. I personally am not offended by nudity and think the human body is beautiful but there is a time and place for everything and this site can be visited by teens and younger and so it has no place here. As far as middle aged men going gaa gaa over these young girls I agree. Case in point….a young 18 year old girl recently had the most profile visits and the only thing she had on her page was one profile pic. she reached #1 on the strength of being pretty and 18….now that’s sad. I would like to say I admire you for speaking your mind even if it might not be a popular veiw. Good for you.
I think it took a lot of courage to write that and even if you don’t agree with her views you have to admire her for speaking her mind. It’s obvious she is passionate about bodybuilding and doesn’t want this to turn into a soft porn site. Like I said in my response….I personally have noooo problem with nudity and if this site had a seperate area for that sort of thing where it could not be access by children I would not only approve but would participate. That is as long as it focused on muscularity and not just nudity. But since such an area doesn’t exsist we should remember that small eyes are upon us and people come here to learn and get inspiratiion, not get an eyeful.

Hey Bri and hows it going - I have no problem with nudity either etc etc — but there is a definate double standard here- go to the main page under featured body blogs — and we see - A$$ and thong — why is that okay - and other peoples photos are not-?? Beautiful photo- beautiful woman yes!! tastefuly done yes — so why is her A$$ okay to see and others are not — Im playing both sides of the fence here — and wanted to get your opinion–

KatNap makes an excellent point. I have seen MsFitness in enough shots to where I think I have a pretty good idea of what she looks like naked. A couple inches more material doesn’t make much of a difference in my opinion. This site is about the human body, making it strong, healthy, beautiful. I applaud everyone on this site who shows what they have worked so hard for. I have no patience for the hypocricy some others often preach. BTW…Where the heck is this sexy pic I’ve been missing? I’m itching to see!

definately understand what your saying about the nudity factor and with only one pic up and no info at all. Really hope that this is not going to become as you called it a "soft porn site". Be very sad if a good site ends up that way

KatNap and Maddi I hear what you’re saying…a lot of pics on here leave nothing to the imagination and perhaps there is a double standard…I haven’t been here long enough to say for sure but I do think that most of the pics here focus mainly on muscularity which is what this site is about. The pic in question shows someone pulling her thong into her crack (wish I could have found a better Phrase), what is she trying to focus on there? I recently came accross a pic that just showed boobs in a see thru. Where’s the muscularity there?? Like I said though…don’t get me wrong. I think female muscularity is very sexual as is male muscularity for that matter. I have absolutely noooo problem with nudity I just think it shouldn’t be viewed by kids unless their parents approve of it. Pretty touchy subject, huh??

For sure it is — and all of those "crotch shots" etc etc make it that much harder for the ones that want to join the site– but are afraid to post pix because - they may feel that they are not "perfect" enough — I can certainly relate- when I first signed on here and saw some of the pix — I was like NO WAY am I posting my Fat A$% on this site — I have to lose weight first — ridiculous yes - but that is how i felt
