First Post!
So I’m training for my second half marathon - January 28th, 2008. Guess I might as well use my blog as a way of keeping track of miles, and how I feel throughout my training process. My best friend is running also - it’s her first half marathon, and that definitely adds a level of excitement that I didn’t get when running the race alone last year. Yesterday I had a long, slow run day - I did 7 miles at the track. This morning I had a dance class, and going back for another tonight, but resting completely from running. Already, everything in my legs is getting tighter. It’s become so hard for me to stretch, but dance gives me the opportunity to work on it. I guess I just kind of have to accept losing a good deal of flexibility while I’m spending so much time running.
Anyway, off to get ready for another dance class!

Hey, I know this is kind of late, but how did you do in that half-marathon? I used to run 5-7 miles a day for track and cross-country, and I would run a few road races just for fun in the off times. The most I ever ran was 12 miles. I just started getting back into it. I got back up to 4 miles, then injured my achilles tendon…lol. It was just too much too fast, and I think I needed new shoes. But, I’ve been doing the bike to keep up with it until it heals. Anyways, I’m new on bodyspace, and just thought it would be cool to have a runner friend in the mix.
