I have to admit- it looks like 2009 is not going to get off to a good start. I hurt my knee and it looks like it could be 6 weeks before it is back to normal. I guess the fact that it doesn’t need surgery is a good thing… but I’m still not happy. I was really getting into a good groove on my lifts and it felt like I was "turning the corner" and making some good gains. Now, out of the gym for at least a month. GRRRRRRRR….

So I had to give up my favorite supplement. I was using Black Powder (an NO supp) and I was loving the results. Huge increase in energy and focus and I was getting amazing pumps during the workouts. BUT… I found out it was shooting my blood pressure through the roof. Like up into stroke territory. So, needless to say I gave it up immediately. I can really feel the difference in the workouts and not in a good way. My endurance is way down. But, no excuses. Stay focused and push through. Out.

OK, so I’m on two weeks vacation from work. Not going anywhere, not doing anything. Its a good chance to FOCUS and really take the workouts to the next level. Two weeks of two-a-day work outs should help out a lot.
I got up and hit a quick pre-breakfast cardio this morning. Thats always rough since I’m just not a morning person. Energy level started low, but by the time I had to leave I was really hitting a good pace. Lets see if I can match that tomorrow.
I feel like my lifts are not quite where I want them to be. Maybe a bit of a plateau (which I am sure I did not spell right). I think its time to change up and get back to the program I got from Nick. Very intense and its consistent with my goals right now.
OK, I’ll check in later and update progress.
We do not rise to the levels of our expectations- we fall to the level of our training.
