Thanks for bringing this to attention. Pets are like family and they deserve to be treated well. People just need to use common sense when it comes to the cold months and their pets' health.

I will never understand how someone could intentionally hurt a helpless creature. I hope they are punished to the fullest extent of the law.

Rescue Ink sounds like the kind of group to have around.

Bikers are typically like that. There's a religious group that has been protesting veteran funerals. A group of motorcyclist took it upon themselves to thwart the religious group's disrespectful and hurtful "cheering" and praising that the veteran had died.

Idiocy comes in all forms. Glad to see that sanity sometimes has a tattoo! ;)

Nice blog on steroids. I have been around bodybuilding most of my adult life, and at 47 that has been quite a wile. I don't know how many times I have been ask do you take steroids. My response is a simple no, but what I would like to say is if I were I would be a hell of a lot bigger than I am.
As usual people lump everybody together. All bodybuilders or any body that lifts weights for that matter must be on something. I have always felt that a naturally developed physique brought about by hard training, smart eating and rest is the best way to go.
I am sure if I were to be competing against those who are using steroids it would be hard to resist taking them as well. But as with anything that isn't natural there is always I price to pay. For me it just wouldn't be worth the trade off.
The real reason most folks train over a long period of time is the way it makes them feel. They may start off to change there body's shape and there is nothing wrong with that at all. But what keeps them at it year in and year out is what is does for there overall health. The old saying its the journey not the destination holds true in weight training just like anything else worthwhile in life.

I highly doubt it. Consider the proposition of preparing for something...anything...several months out. You will be provided with a trainer, dietician, physician, state-of-the-art facility and equipment. All your meals will be carefully prepared and waiting. This preparation will be your full-time job. At the end of (and probably during) the training period, you'll receive tons of cash and much acclaim. I think I might be able to pack a few clean pounds on!

I know what you're saying. I see people do it all the time to their dogs. It really ticks me off. I've told them, you must really care about your dog to leave them in the hot car, don't you? They give me the pissed off look too. Too bad.
Thanks for putting that out. I don't think people realize that danger, even if it's a few minutes.
