Olympic Bar Biceps Curls

So today was back, shoulder and biceps and I have been struggling to move up the weights that I am using for barbell curls.

I have been stuck at around the same weight for awhile now. The way I work these sets is to do the first set to 9 reps (the top of the rep scheme) and the second set until failure. Last week, I finally got back up to 95lbs today! I did 9 reps on the first set and 7 reps on the second set. I hope to be up to 115lbs by the end of the year.

Olympia 2006 Weekend

Well, the Olympia weekend was awesome! This was my first time going and it was really motivating. I got to meet one of my bodybuilding idols, Larry Scott, and I also got to meet Johnnie Jackson.

I was able to go to the Bodybuilding Finals and see Jay Cutler upset Ronnie Coleman and win his first Mr. Olympia title. I wasn’t able to go to the pre-judging, but from what I saw, I think that Jay deserved it. The routines were entertaining and the final posedown was awesome.
