got 4th place in D class in charleston at the Jr USAs, hoping to improve in the Jr Nats in 3 weeks! bring it on! tightening up and darkening up! after that i got 3 weeks off, then i’m headed to NYC!

so, with my trainer today i did 336lbs on leg press for 10 reps…that’s the most i have done. i also did 3 sets of 20 lunges with 40 lbs in each hand and sumo squats with 90lbs for 3 sets of 15. plus, one leg squats, leg curls, and calves/abs. yea, i almost vomitted! i lost 4 lbs in the last week because of getting my wisdom teeth out, so that sucks, cause i really didn’t want to start losing until sunday, but oh well. so i am about 5 days away from starting my diet. i had my wisdom teeth out friday, so i have been feelin a bit puny for the last few days. back to the gym today to do some heavy shoulders with my trainer. i am extremely excited to start prepping and feel like i have most things in order so far. i wil update my stats today…wt and measurements…so i will have a starting point. i really do not want to weigh myself too often, because it is not about your weight, it is about how you look and feel. so maybe i will update it every two weeks. gotta get my suit lined up, i am getting a new two piece, gotta send in my entry form and get my hotel room, hopefully within the week! gonna start changing up my supplements a bit… i am off creatine and will start taking more BCAAs, glutamine, CLA, carnitine, green tea extract, fish oil, and a few more. more cardio, more protein, a little less carb, and hopefully keeping the weight training intensity high. check back in about a week, i may post pics, we’ll see!

15 wks out, i started doing a little bit of cardio this past week, 20-30 minutes here and there. i really don’t want to start cardioin’ it up until 12 weeks out, but trying to tighten up a little and prepare my body to push it hard in 3 wks. i got an hr and 1/2 massage this past thursday, and it was NOT long enough. i have so many issues, my body is tight all over, but especially in my left glute and hamstring and my right quad. hopefully i can get back on the table in a week or two. training is going well, especially on the days i work with my trainer. i am really hoping that when i start my cardio, i can incorporate many different things…swimming, boxing, hiking, stadium running and sprints. i really don’t like doing long, steady paced cardio, it is boring, plus i think it really flattens me out! i really hope to keep my muscle big, full, and round this competition season. ok, enough for now, gotta get ready for the superbowl! Go Pats!

so, for the past 6 months, my husband has been writing up my workouts, but has been unable to train me because he already trains about 10 people everyday! i have complete trust in him, but recently realized that i need a trainer there when i am working out, at least when i am working on the areas that i want to improve, back and shoulders. today was my first day with my new trainer and it was awesome. just having someone there to push me beyond what I could do on my own is incredible. i did 30 sets of back and triceps in 50 minutes and lifted super heavy (for me!) this coming sunday, i will be 16 wks out from my first show of the season and will be blogging a lot more often, so stay tuned. i am also going to revamp my myspace page to be fully dedicated to training and my prep for my shows. remember, if you want to be my friend on myspace, please let me know that you saw me on bb.com! train hard!

wow, been a while since i have blogged. been pretty busy with work, training, and everything else that comes up! 2008 is starting off OK. i have been sick for the last week (i never get sick, so it really sucks!) had to get on antibiotics, so my training slowed down a little bit. this, however, is the time i need to be pushing it the hardest. i have about 7 more weeks of bulking before i have to start dieting for the Jr. USAs on may 17th. i have had a pretty productive off-season, you always look back on it (or at least i do) and say you could have worked just a little bit harder, but can’t do anything about it now. now, i just need to look ahead and plan my season, stay fit, healthy, and have a positive attitude. i feel like my shoulders have definitely improved, bigger and rounder. i really wanted to improve my hamstrings as well, but have been having some serious lower back problems for the last 2-3 months, so i haven’t been able to lift heavy on my legs and do squats and dead-lifts how i’d like. again, can’t really do anything about it, so i just must modify my workouts! i am actually looking forward to start dieting…being on a schedule really keeps me motivated and helps me accomplish other things in my life. i feel like 2008 will be pretty great…i hope to do 4 shows (unless i get my pro card early on!), hope to do a lot more modeling, hope to get some sponsors, and hope to go to the olympia (as a spectator, of course!) so we’ll see!!!

just kiddin…i’m not fat, but i have put on about 5-6 lbs in the last 2 weeks! i usually maintain around 135 when i am not dieting for a show, but at only 129-130 i feel so FAT! being so lean for so long and then gaining it back really messes with your mind! i am killin’ it in the gym though. my trainer, who is my husband, put me on a strength program, so i am lifting really heavy. last week my body was so sore, i could barely do anything over the weekend. this week is a little better, still lifting heavy, probably a little more weight than last week, but not as sore. i feel like my body is changing already…my shoulders feel fuller and my butt feels tighter, even with the added fat. i am still eating clean for the most part during the week and am really enjoying my weekend splurges…i am in love with Chick-fil-a’s chocolate shake! i have been really busy with work and working out, so i haven’t been on bb.com too much lately. thank-you for all the sweet comments left on my page. i love hearing that i am an inspiration to others! sorry i haven’t replied to all of you, but will try harder from now on. i just received some of my photos from Muscle Angels and will try to post some by the end of the week. off-season…so far, so good! after i do my strength program for about 3 months, i will be doing more of a hypertrophy program, so i am really excited about that! will keep ya posted! oh yea, and if you request me as a friend on myspace, please drop me a note because i do not accept requests unless you write me!!!
