"The Forum avatar issue has been resolved! The fix addressed both the disappearance of avatars and the synchronization issue with that of a user’s main profile picture. If you reset ("Set As…" function) your profile picture, your avatar should now show up on your Forum posts and reflect the new profile avatar (presently, an action is required to trigger the fix). The "Do not use an avatar" flag has been permanently removed. Note: We will be running a series of queries this week to turn on all user avatars in the event that some users do not see this forum thread/notification.

BodySpace is pleased to announce the release of the new and improved photo uploader for uploading profile and progress pictures!

Not only will BodySpace members notice a significant improvement in the usability and design of the two new BodySpace Control Panel pages and upload process, but they will now be able to upload up to five pictures at once, select which before and after pictures they want to display on their main profile page (vs. having them always be only the first and the last), and sort their pictures by date taken or pose.

Coming soon:

• Ability to crop and rotate images
• Ability to upload multiple concurrent images
• Ability to support image sizes greater than 2MB

We recently found out that heavy metal band Chimaira loves Bodybuilding.com, as some of the band members are long-time forum lurkers and BodySpace members!

They stopped by BB.com HQ here in Boise yesterday to chat up some members on our live, weekly JTV chat, and the entire broadcast was great!  They took and answered chatroom audience questions about their training on the road (they’re currently touring), their favorite supplements, music, women and more!

We’ve had the pleasure over the past couple of days to work on several projects with some well-known BodySpace members here at BB.com HQ in Meridian, ID. Among them were liftstudios (Isaac Hinds), obadike1 (Obi Obadike), and k-chzzle (Kendall Wood).

Meridian, ID (Bodybuilding.com) June 24, 2009 — A bizarre little story unfolded today, as it was revealed that BodySpace member Isaac Hinds up until today had never before tasted peanut butter.

Isaac’s “Peanut Butter Virgin” status was inadvertently made known during a routine visit to Bodybuilding.com headquarters in Idaho this afternoon.

When asked about his unusual former status, Mr. Hinds had no comment.  Upon leaving the building, however, several staff members noted a wide grin upon his face.

UPDATE: Rumor has it that Isaac subsequently made a run to a local convenience store to acquire some chunky peanut butter for an impromptu taste test before heading off to a BB.com softball game.  Creamy remains his favorite, however.  Welcome to a bold, new world of flavor, Isaac!
