Beware of Phishing PMs
Some users received a PM (personal message) from a (now banned) member called "Marmites" like this:
hey,
we’ve been keeping an eye on your progress, looking good!
the reason for this private message is because we are currently looking for a selected few bodyspace members to be on the main page of the bodyspace banner.
it’s going to be new and exciting and what a better way to kick it off with new faces.
here’s a quick sign up form http://ad.bodybuilding.com
all the best!
DON’T CLICK ON THE LINK!
This is what is known as a phishing scam. If you did get one of these PMs, you would have (hopefully) noticed that the link text “http://ad.bodybuilding.com” didn’t match the actual link URL, which was pointing to an outside site (ending with “.tk”). Moral of the story, before you click a link, always glance at the status bar to make sure the link you are about to click is actually going to where you think it is. ![]()
