Shout Out To Bodybuilding.com!
Thursday, July 31st, 2008Check out this great forum post by BodySpace member MeMojo:
“I would just like to say that I appreciate the team at BB.com, you guys (the users) and the authors of all those amazing articles.
I started working out 6 months ago, eating nothing but high protein and very little carbs or fats. I always looked for the least amount of calories thinking I would build muscle and burn fat. To a point, that actually worked, because after 3 months of training, I lost 15 lbs. of body weight. Unfortunately, I was stuck in weights, I could not lift more than a few kg’s here and there.
I went away on business to Germany, and got a BB magazine, which had this website. So, starting in February, I decided to come to BB.com, check out the articles and actually learn.
I found that that I needed way more calories and carbs than I thought, and I told myself maybe that is why I’m stuck at a certain weight, hitting a plateau.
So, I came across a lot of very useful articles here on nutrition and training. So I told myself, “what the heck, I will eat more for one week and watch to see if there are any changes”. Sure as heck, the DAY I started eating more carbs, I felt pumped in the gym and I was able to do more reps and sets!
Going through the training articles, I realized that I should challenge myself every time I go in the gym. So I slowly and gradually increased the weights I use every 2-3 weeks, depending on how my body responds.
I am surprised to have lost even more body weight. Now I weigh 165 lbs. I used to weigh 198 lbs.
My strength is slowly but surely increasing, and I’m using weights that I was not able to even PICK UP before. I’m not saying I’m a powerhouse, but I definitely am slowly drawing a steady line going up in my charts.
However, none of this would have been possible, if BB.com was not here!
To the team at BB.com, you guys are awesome. To the authors of those articles, you guys rock.
BB.com has changed my life, I feel great, my clothes are way lose, and everyone is starting to notice my better physique and progress.
I started with 198lbs and 27% body fat, as of now, I’m 165lbs and at 10% body fat.
A big thank you to everyone here at BB.com, from the employees, to the authors, to the forum gurus. Thank you BB.com for all you’re great articles, motivation and help!”
