Ever since the colossal meltdown of March 2007, the stalking counts (in the friends module) have seemed to have been a little off for some people.
I just got word from lead BodySpace programmer Skippy that this bug is now fixed. He cautions, however, that “the counts are only updated when a member adds or removes a friend. Both friends are updated. So if someone sees that the count is incorrect, they need to add/remove a friend and it will fix the problem.”
Kudos, Skip!

A minor bug has been squashed which was causing consternation amongst some BodySpace members, wherein metric lifting stats were incorrectly being calculated.
The problem manifested itself when the logged-in user chose to display measures in metric units. All measurements are stored in US values and then converted at the time of display, if necessary. There were some issues resulting in roundoff errors that were corrected, and the order in which the values were converted was corrected.
Kudos to Skippy for the fix, and to the several members who had alerted us to this problem (most recently Dominik)!

Some have commented on the sudden disappearance of the Advanced Search feature. This handy feature was found to be the cause of some notable slowdowns in performance on BodySpace across the board, so has been disabled until it can be optimized for better performance.
Stay tuned, it should be back soon!
UPDATE: I just got word from CEO Ryan DeLuca, and the Advanced Search feature has been turned back on, but without the location search (which is still a little problematic). Enjoy!

In this light-hearted parody, featured BodySpace member “heyzeus909” has his recent blog entry read by a distinguished orator. Follow along:
“Ok, I like to set arbitrary dates to help me give my physique goals a timetable. I don’t do professional competitions, so I make up my own competitions. It keeps me drivin’, if ya know what I mean. I usually set these goals just a few weeks into the future. This time, I invite YOU to join me.
All you have to do is just say that you’ll join me, submit a “before” pic along with your goals (see below) and then by the Challenge date just submit a progress pic. The only thing you win is, hopefully, a better physique and improved health. Maybe at some point we can get a supplement company involved or something.
We should have some rules, however.
1) Pics should be of similar poses, and under similar conditions (lighting, pre/post workout, etc).
2) No steroids or prohormones, or any of that crap. This is about improving your physique AND your health.
hmm…I’m sure there will be a lot more than just two rules . We’ll all work together to get this better organized.
Let’s get this thing started.
EDIT: To submit a pic, just PM me the link to the pic, or POST a link to it here. The way the blogs are set up here, it’s almost impossible to upload a pic. I’ll take care of it if you send me the link. Along with your link to your picture, let me know what your goals are so I can post that info too.“
Who will be next? Click here for past BodyBlog Readings! Right-click and “save file as…” to download the MP3 (1:37 - 1.49 MB).
