Since switching resizing utilities yesterday to correct some problems, we started noticing empty images. We’re looking into this issue right now, and it should be fixed soon. Sorry for the hassle - if you uploaded some images yesterday or today and they’ve gone missing, please retry this afternoon. Thanks.

Some minor BodySpace performance issues have been corrected this morning, including a corrupt table in the favorites database, some layout template problems on the main page, and some temporary connectivity problems with the forum, profiles, and blogs. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Just so everyone knows, when you report a user, your IP address is recorded, even for "anonymous guests" (those not logged in). Thus, when we see 4 reports against the same user, and they all come from "anonymous guests" with different names, but the IP address is the same, we just have to chuckle - you’re not fooling anyone; it’s obvious who the troll is. LOL
Incidentally, if you wish your reports to be taken seriously, please be logged in when you report someone - we take those more seriously than those from non-logged-in guests.
Skippy has implemented a BodySpace icon and link in the forums for active BodySpace members. This will make it easier to see who is an active BodySpace member or not (forum members with blank BodySpace profiles will not get an icon). Nice! =)

We’ve been experiencing some blog problems overnight (with both very slow blog access times, posting blogs and leaving blog comments) - please bear with us, this should be fixed soon. Sorry for the inconvenience.
UPDATE: this was caused by a new, ultra-top-secret, kick-glutes feature that we are currently testing. Said feature caused some marked performance hits, so it’s been temporarily disabled while further troubleshooting is being performed. This mystery feature is slated for release next week, so… wait for it… You’ll be impressed, we promise! =)

In order to keep BodySpace focused on the main purpose of fitness, bodybuilding and goal tracking, we’re setting forth some basic guidelines on what is appropriate for BodySpace photos.
The following are not permitted: bare butts (with or without a thong); topless* frontal/side female photos/bare breasts (even if cupped/covered with hands/arms and/or the nipple/areola is hidden); exposed crotches (male or female, this includes visible pubic hair), gratuitous groin, butt, breast or erection shots (where only that body part is obviously featured, even if clothed); suggestive porn-like poses; pointing weapons at the camera/viewer (i.e., the pose must be non-threatening), "flipping us off" (using inappropriate hand gestures such as "the finger/the bird"), and cross-dressing depictions.
*Topless (as we interpret it) means "no top on" - not just visible nipples. Thus, even if someone is covering their nipple, aerola, and/or entire breast with their hand, it’s still topless if a bra or bikini top is not being worn in a female frontal or side shot.
UPDATES: "stripper" photos (i.e., tugging at panties, etc.) are also not allowed, as per a direct request from the CEO. Thanks. Also, images which started out as real photos but since have been so heavily "photoshopped" as to not look like a real photo anymore are not acceptable as main profile photos/avatars, but they are fine for gallery photos. This includes photos too heavily altered at photofunia.com, dumpr.net, and the like. (Once again, the intent is for main profile photos to be current, real photographs of your body.)
Speaking of Photoshop, it’s fine to put someone else’s head on your body*, but it’s not okay to put your head on someone else’s body or something else like an animal, statue, cartoon character, etc. (Once again, the whole point of BodySpace is to show off your body, not someone elses - but heads/faces are not required for privacy reasons.)
*As long as it’s obvious that the head and the body don’t belong together, and that it’s done in a light-hearted manner, and not a serious attempt at deception. If the photoshop is done too well (so that it’s hard to tell if the head and body match or not), then it’s not acceptable. Once again, the intention of BodySpace is to show an accurate photo of your body, and not to deceive.
Bikinis are fine as long as they cover as much as an IFBB/NPC figure/fitness posing suit would cover (i.e., no minis/micros, see-through, full bare butt cheeks/cracks, nipples covered but rest of boob exposed, etc.) In short, keep your underwear on. "Towel photos" (where only the towel is covering private parts), and "black censored bars" are likewise not acceptable, as underwear is the rule. And, as always, your BodySpace photos must be of you (as noted on the upload page), and be recent (a photo of you as a child is not okay). Note: this is not "MaskSpace." Masks are fine only if more of your body is shown in the photo (other than just the mask.) Loincloths and/or aboriginal penile sheaths are not permitted.
These guidelines are simple and allow members to effectively showcase their fitness and bodybuilding results without offending and turning away our core demographic and target audiences. We reserve the right to remove any images that detract from the mission and purpose of BodySpace, without notice. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Additional photo and overall BodySpace community guidelines are posted in the forum rules thread. Please take a few extra seconds and read them, as well. Any breach of the rules may result in corrective action, such as temporary or permanent banning, depending on the situation.
MORE UPDATES: blatant advertising is frowned upon. See this post for details. These guidelines are subject to change (become more restrictive, unfortunately) as people push the limits of what is acceptable.
Another update: groping is not allowed, either of yourself (e.g., squeezing your own breasts), or someone else’s butt, etc. Groping is defined as "touching in a sexual way. Areas of the body most frequently groped include the genitals, buttocks, breasts and thighs." Thus, this new rule does not preclude female competitors legitimately lifting breasts within reason to highlight abs (since this is not sexual), but does rule out anyone touching themselves (including, but not limited to, masturbation) and/or fondling, squeezing, pinching, caressing, touching, holding, grabbing, poking, rubbing or otherwise "feeling up" anyone else in a seductive, suggestive, or even playful/joking manner. (Yes, we receive lots of complaints about this!)

BodySpace, the forums, teenbodybuilding.com, bodybuilders.com, the store & the shopping cart were all experiencing problems at various times over the past few hours due to a scheduled (but failed) hardware upgrade.
The modifications have been temporarily reversed and service appears to be almost back to normal. We apologize for the downtime.
UPDATE: Okay, obviously stuff is still busted. We’re working on it. Sorry for the inconvenience.
UPDATE #2: Looks like everything’s finally fixed. Full service was restored at around a little after midnight (MST) on 12/15 (early morning).

In this light-hearted parody, featured BodySpace member “asianbabe” has her recent blog entry read by a distinguished orator. Follow along:
“Random comments: Good workout!!! Hard to walk afterwards.. tried GHRs for the first time in ages, had to get someone to kneel in front of me.. I have major fear of heights (even though its like 30cm lol) Improved on most lifts today (even on girl time!!!) so I’m happy with that, but took it easy with abs because I’ve got a tad of ab pain, what else, just wish I had a workout buddy more often, it really makes a difference!! So anyway.. am I the only person still logging this stuff..???? I counted my pills and have only 4 days left after today!!! Wootwoot!!!
Supp notes
So I’ve been taking Torcht once in the morning, and again just before workouts - so around 7ish and 12ish : it gives me good energy during workouts so far lifts have gone up on almost everything, yipeeeeedoodledee!
Dreamtone.. really hard to tell what exactly it does.. though I’ve been getting good sleep + dreams lately, but its also hard to get up in the mornings because I swear I could sleep forever on it!!!! Ok all in all so far its been a good day, thanks for reading, not long to go now!!!!! “
Who will be next? Right-click and “save file as…” to download the MP3 (2:05 - 1.92 MB).

A few strange things have happened today, including random dates on blog posts. If your blog post says it was published in 2027, don’t worry - we’ll get it sorted out soon!
Last night and early this morning, a blog backend update was performed, which did introduce a couple of minor blog glitches for a few users’ blogs and RSS feeds. These, hopefully, have all been sorted out (with the exception of the future dates, as already mentioned).
One super sweet thing did go right today, however: the log-in and log-out process had been upgraded, and runs more intuitively now. Try it out - log out, then log back in. Nice! Kudos to Sir Skip-A-Lot for this improvement! =)
