I’m really trying to get back on track with a regular workout and clean eating. I’d been having a battle with sweets but that’s done with. I’ve been doing pretty well but I haven’t been journaling which is something I want to get back to.
I was doing great for about 6 or 7 months until I took a break for two weddings–one of which was my own. I couldn’t gain or lose because of my dress fittings so I maintained pretty well and while on my honeymoon, ate pretty much what I wanted but without going over board.
I don’t do white flour and I only eat fish. Can’t take too much sugar either. Actually, anything outside of the norm is pretty toxic to my system and will give me headaches and keep me from feeling great so I have to really be cautious of what I put in my body regardless of my fitness regimen.
So I’m committed to waking up almost a full hour earlier to do deep stretching and light exercise. This way if I miss a workout in the evening, I’ve done something instead of nothing. But I prefer to workout in the evening as I’m nocturnal by nature and my energy level is usually high when the sun goes down. But I’ve really been making the effort to workout in the evening as well and it makes a difference.
So joining this site and starting this blog is a way for me to stay focused and motivate myself to do what I need to do–lose a few more pounds, get strong and lean, and a little muscle wouldn’t be bad either.
