So I finally got the nerve up to upload some pictures 11 to be exact. I have never felt so horrible in all my times I guess it feels different in the gym I think I have decent power and always feel great in the gym but once I take my clothes off it’s a whole different story I feel like the same 11 year old kid that tried is hardest to compete with everyone else. Looks like I just have even more to think about when I am in the gym and trying to throw up even more and more weight to turn this mess into something better.

So I have been thinking for awhile about what to do when I get out of the Army, many doors are there for me but I don’t really have the motiviation to knock on most of them. Now it’s true I can settle for some run of the mill job programming satelittes for some big company, or I can pursue a carrer with some goverment type job but who wants that? So I did research into the PT world what would being a Personal Trainer have to offer not just myself but those around me?
It’s been a few weeks now and after much time to think about it I decided hell why not, I have up to a year out here in Baghdad to finish a course and when I go home on leave I can always knock out my CPR/AED certs. So as it stands now not only will I be trying to further reach the goals I have set for myself while I am here body wise I now also have my goal of finishing the CFT class with ISSA which so far seems great.
The real reason I am writing this blog is in hopes that someone or some people out there will be able to contact me to share any knowledge they may have on other certs that would be good to have under my belt as well as any other programs out there like I know when I was looking around I saw ACE,NCCA,ASMC, and more. I know that some gyms like other certs so who knows, like I said if I get nothing else out of it atleast I will know more about my own body which will help me alot.

Just thought I would leave my first post with a little information about myself and what I do, with some insight on what I am trying to accomplish. First off names Richard originally from Orlando, FL but now happily serving with the US army in that great big sand box. Been in the Army now going on 5 1/2 years been deployed 4 times and it makes getting to the gym a really big hassle but yet I still try to get in. Recently divorced two kids that somehow my ex-wife has won custody over and a great girlfriend that I wish I met well before I got married.
So now on to what I am trying to accomplish my last rotation out here I hit Baghdad weighing in at about 153 lbs. I know a very small lightweight, so Istarted hitting the gym used a lot of MusleTechs products and I was able to jump up to about 215 lbs prior to leaving mostly mass not a lot of definition only problem I had was with the fast increase in weight my lower body was unable to keep up with it so running my 2 mile PT test was excruciating. Came back to the states very happy, then I shattered my left hand playing football kinda put a hold on the whole gym thing till it was healed.(Still not fully healed so lifting heavy weight still puts a sting on it). Tried to hit the gym on a more frequent schedule but then I got picked up for this deployment, now here shortly I will begin a good workout plan well atleast try to get one up and running, any advice would be welcome, I am trying to leave here weighing around 200-215 but I want a nice solid, chiseled look if I might say.
Well that about does it for me on this fine Iraqi day, I hope everyone out there in the fitness/bodybuilding world is having as much fun as I am.
