Back into the swing of things..

Well after my 3 month long hiatus from lifting due to injury, I started back up 3 weeks ago this monday. It has gone very well so far and I’m thrilled to be feeling DOMS again!

I am on a 3 day a week full body program gear towards strength and hypertrophy. It is probably the best and most fun routine I’ve ever been on. If anyone is interested I’d be glad to give you some more info on it!

I’m planning on bulking until June 1st when the program ends, then going to a more maintenance diet for the rest of the summer (fo the super ript abz mon!)

New Year

Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008

Been a while since I put anything here. Well we just started 2008. I’m halfway through NROL Hypertrophy I.  Definitely enjoy the workouts.  I have put on around 7 lbs so far.  Probably should be a bit more but I haven’t eaten as much as I should at some points.  My plan is to finish up this program in mid February, take maybe a week off (ugh!), and then start on a 3 day total body program.  Hopefully I can put some decent muscle on before the summer cut.

Summer time…bye bye muscle

It’s summer and time to train for my upcoming college soccer season in the fall. This means I’ll be running/playing soccer 4-5 days a week and fitting maybe 2 days of lifting in.

Hopefully I can maintain a decent weight while getting in soccer season shape.

Not gaining..

Well in the past week I’ve actually gone down .8 of a pound. I’m guessing its because I haven’t been able to eat solid food since I got my wisdom teeth out. Its so frustrating for a week to go to waste like that. Hopefully within the next day or two I can start eating real food.

Wisdom teeth ugh..

Today was my last workout before I have to get my wisdom teeth out. I’m hoping to only miss one workout but could miss up to three.

Anyways pretty good workout. Antagonist sets of: Chinups/F Delt Raise - RDL/Wrist Curls - Squats/Weighted Dips.

First workout back from college at my real gym. Starting Waterbury’s TBT. Went very well except for my shoulder feeling a bit painful. Not sure what it’s from but hopefully nothing serious.

Last two weeks..

Been sticking with the Bill Starr program pretty much. Made a few adjustments due to my horrendous school gym (no squat rack, no 2.5’s). Have definitely made strength gains. Looking forward to going home to a real gym in just about a week and a half!

Monday workout..

Was pretty good. Started Bill Starr’s 5×5 program. Was odd only doing three exercises, but it did allow me to really focus on those. Now its off for a week for thanksgiving.

Was pretty terrible. Drank too much the night before and was still affecting me. Wish I could have waited until the afternoon but I had classes all day. Can’t wait to get in there Monday.
