Its bin a while guys but I’m still here, I’m still hitting the weights and I’m still doin bloody cardio!! So a coulpe of weeks ago I decided that I was for dropping the barbell movements on chest day for all dumbell work. I have to say that when u go heavy enough on the presses you can really feel how much better it hits ur chest and wat I was surprised at was that me thinking I’d hit 50kg on each dumbell after my warmup wud be reasonably lite, going by barbell benchs!! I gotta say it killed me doin my 10 reps, this weight is normally my 2nd warm up before hitting low reps, the lactic was in the hands, chest an really just my whole bloody arm. So i’m sticking wit the dumbells for a few more weeks to see how it helps improve my condition and strength wen I go back to normal benching.

So every day we get up and go through our own personnal daily routine, engrossed in our selves and on a sort of auto piliot. Not really thinking about what we say or do but just going through the motions.
A couple of weeks ago, I was out in the iron dungeon with my mates lifting and for some reason I had this small bit of insight watching the others. They where doing exactly what we do in our normal life going through the motions and not putting much intension into the lifting. So after a some what brief bit of comtenplation I decided that the next day the workout was for changing and lifts would be logged. So far so good, I printed of Arnolds old routine which is very high volumn and briefed the guys on what was expected, each rep range was to be logged and weight heavy enough to just reach that number and no more. So each time a particular bodypart came around I made sure that they had at least 1 extra kilogram per side, as they do say its progressive resistance, if we don’t hit ours reps then the weight is lowered slightly.
So I suppose the moral (if you have any) of the story is keep the intensity strong and think about what your doing not just in the gym but in life as well, as it always pays off in the end.
Thats the end of my small lecture which I don’t normally do lol!!

So this last few weeks my training buddy and myself have decided to try and follow Arnolds training routine for 6 weeks, I have to say its pretty hard as ur training everybody part twice a week with only 1 day of rest which is a Saturday. Each workout is taking roughly 1.5-2 hrs to complete. So far I have started to notice my body feeling quite pumped most of the day but on the other hand the doms from training is nearly unbearable, its like starting out all over again.
So tonight was legs which I really hate but its a necessary evil if u want the whole body to continue and grow.

So I haven’t been on in a few weeks, but don’t worry I’m still training 6 days a week. Have to keep it hardcore. Got a few new supps to try a couple of weeks.
Bought some ultra fine scottish oats to mix in with protein shakes, bit of a do it urself meal replacement and mixs quite good.
Also got some beta- analine, just let me say do not take a full teaspoon of this S**T as it made my skin want to itch and burn off for about 10 minutes, instead about 2 grams mixed with shake 3 times a day, no sides that way. Also got some glycerol monosterate, not bad for pumps but makes you very thristy.
All in all I have noticed a small increase in weight and my strength has went up some, for instance was able to add 5kg’s on the bench from 1 week to the next for 10 reps.
On the subject of property, which in the UK is doing really crap, I have been able to get my investment house rented which I was meant to sell and have had to sell my BMW M3 do release funds for my own new house, had to put alot more deposit down than originally had thought. So hopefully come the new year I’ll be ready to move into my new pad and get the iron dungeon up and running in a bit more style than I’ve been used to. When I’m training at the mo its like walking inside a bloody freezer as I’ve no heating in the garage I use at the min.

My weight is up this week 2.5kg and I’m not sure why. Ive been eatting the same boring foods and doing the workouts. The only changes in my lifestyle is the introduction of No-Xplode, X-factor and porrage mixed with protein. Bodyfat doesn’t seem to have changed so I’ll have to get some new photo’s up for the records.
Training wise tonight I completed my cardio with some circuit work, can’t wait for the legs tomorrow, bring it on baby!!

If you think you are beaten, you are
If you think you dare not, you don’t
If you’d like to win, but think you can’t
it’s almost certain you won’t
If you think you’ll lose, you’ve lost
For out of the world we find
Success begins with a fellows will -
It’s all a state of mind.
If you think you’re outclassed, you are
You’ve got to think high to rise
You’ve got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.
Life’s battle don’t always go
To the stronger or faster man
But sooner or later the man who wins
Is the one who thinks he can.

I was out last night for a hugh feed of fillet steak, chips, lattice fries and the thing that can’t be done without tomatoe ketchep. Its been sooo bloody long since I got to feed my face like that I had forgetten just how tasty it is!! The reason for going out and over indulging with food and small amount of drink was the fact that one of my compadries was home from his tour of duty. So I left my will power at the door for a night. Have to say it was gr8 getting out with lads and seeing him again as he’d been a way for quite a while.
On a more organised note( if thats the right word), I did in fact train chest this morning, 2.5miles cardio run bout two hours after and then around 17:00 trained my tricepts, so I’ve done pretty well. I’m trying to keep several hours apart for my chest/tri’s and then back/bi’s in the hope for extra growth. My theroy is that the arms should have recovered from the first workout so I can push them harder a few hours later, but thats a different story. As of this moment its 01:40am and I’m sitting in work doing jack all really, its gr8 getting paid for sitting around lol.

So today I ended up getting bout 8-9 hrs sleep and I have to say I needed it. As far as training goes I completed 9sets of circuits and finished off with ab work. Man did the sweat roll lol.
The circuits consisted of 4 sets :-
pullups x max rep
dips x max reps
pressups x max reps
clean and jerk x max reps
barbell curls x max reps….. This is all 1 set, followed by
dips as before
pressups as before
situps incline as before for 3 sets… Followed by
legpress 160kg for max reps(in around 20)
hanging leg raises
bicept curls
Then just finish with floor work for the abs
Looking forward til tomorrow as my m8 is home from tour of duty and we’re all heading out to celebrite, although I’m not looking forward to the day after as its been so long since I had a drink I know its gonna hit me hard!! But I’ll do the good thing and still train then prob back to sleep again.

Didn’t really sleep well today and as a result my shoulder workout really suffered. Didn’t feel as though I had the energy to really hit the big weights although my shoulders did feel pumped and tired after I finished. Hopefully be able to grab a power nap later on to recharge my batteries. It could most likely be the fact I had been taking an ECA stack for a few weeks to help with losing the body fat and now I’m off it bout 6 days. Who knows but all I can do is keep eating, sleeping and training and see what happens.
