Today I suffered a massive butchering from ChuckRD as far as my diet goes~ he is laying the hammer down on my ass…literally my ass..lol, but I can take it. I started the new version of my pre-comp diet last night with a refeed. I was VERY vascular about 25 minutes into my refeed, which is a great sign. I haven’t suffered much today from the additional cut. My package from bodybuilding.com arrived and was chalk full of goodies I am now re-upped on everything. My OMRON arrived as well, but I am not using that until Monday morning, which is my bodycomp day to report to Chuck so… I’ll share photos and stats then.

Tuesday was to be a HIIT only day ~ however some stuff happened and I couldn’t get the HIIT in before I had to be at work at the gym at 5:00 PM, and yeah I know, could have been done after my shift, but who the hell wants to do HIIT at almost 10 PM after training clients and orientating new members… NOT me. So this week Tuesday becomes my total rest day and I’ll have to shove my HIIT in on Friday.
Some side notes: I ordered/bought my own OMRON, I have access to one at work, but I am really anal about the bodyfat measurements and I have to do it as soon as I get up, and driving the 15 miles to work, before even a cup of java, aint gonna cut it… so that’s exciting to have that coming, its the newest model they have.
Also, after my articles were posted I placed my biggest order ever here on bodybuilding.com, and I still have credit left for more later! Anyway… I am really excited to get my supps and plan on photographing the event; it seems blogging makes everything seem like a photo worthy opportunity :p Plus I can get my Scivation Sesamin log back in order and going strong.
I want to attend the expo in March (and bring a *special guest* ) but after hearing Richard won’t be there, I thought wtf?? What IS the point then?
Ahhh, if I can ever get away from reading these damned blogs… I am off to the gym to tear myself up.
Peace.~J.

I worked out early afternoon today, after 4 consecutive training appointments, so my stamina was down a bit and I felt kinda drained. I have had 3 days of very low carb, and tonight was my re-feed so I’m really full now~my run and *other* activities should be full of energy tomorrow.
All my supps are in check, except I am out of Super Omega and Sesamin~so awaiting a package (is always fun)… but shouldn’t do too much damage since my diet is 100% dead on.

I am once again allowed weight on leg day~ I am to use 60-75% of my 1-rep max, and I am to get 12-15 reps on every set. My calories and macros have been adjusted and reduced, just a tiny bit, and I haven’t noticed any ill effects from less carbs, less calories or less fats. My last carb-up was Saturday evening~felt great.
I will post an "example" of an entire days worth of meals on my current contest prep menu in the Nutrition Section of my blog. NOTE: My daily nutrition is not the same day in and day out, so the example is not a ridgid schedule or anything.
Today (Sunday) I am beginning training a very good friend of mine, and co-worker (she is also a personal trainer/group ex leader at our gym~as well as a last year Nutrition Student, and our gyms nutrition consultant)~her name is Siobhan (pronounced Show~von), she is a few years older than me, and she just had a beautiful, gigantic baby boy, her one and only, named Quinton. He is 8 months old and she is now deciding to do her very first figure show! She has never competed before, and in fact has never herself lifted to gain mass. Her specialties are marathon training (she is training w/ me to do our 1/2 marathon), Nutrition, and Special Pop (older folks). She is a natural ecto/meso, but carrying a bit of fat from baby around the hips, tummy and thighs. Although her hams and quads are already awesome from running for so many years. I am encouraging her to set up a BodySpace to keep motivated~but even if she doesn’t, she has allowed me to post her progress pics/stats within my blog, perhaps I’ll add another page entitled "Kicking Siobhan’s Ass"
My first show of the year is on March 31st, and she is setting her sights on the July Colorado State Bodybuilding/Fitness/Figure Chamionships. We will be working out together 2-3 times a week, but I have written her strength training programs, and being a trainer she can easily follow instruction. She is ’shadowing’ my nutrition plan from my wonderful trainer Chuck Rudolph~ she is not following it as strictly as I, we have configured the numbers and macros to her needs, and she is still allowing herself a cheat meal/dessert once per week, until she is 12 weeks out from the July show. Being a nutrition student, she is very good about sticking to a dietary plan, so there is no issue with her about compliancy with the diet. I think it will be great to have a close friend with me at the March show, and then we will both compete (in different classes) in the July Colo State show together, I’m really excited about it!
Peace.~J.

We have had THREE solid weeks of mad snow every Thursday it seems we get another 12-15 inches… WTF is going on? We are getting MORE snow this Thursday– another 12-18 inches~ Well, recently in the Denver Post I read something I actually agree with so I thought I would post it here
from the Denver Post Newspaper
This text is from a county emergency manager out in the central part of Colorado after the big snowstorm.
Up here, in the Northern Plains, we just recovered from a
Historic event— may I even say a “Weather Event” of
“Biblical Proportions” with a historic blizzard of up to 44″
inches of snow and winds to 90 MPH that broke trees in
half, knocked down utility poles, stranded hundreds of
motorists in lethal snow banks, closed ALL roads, isolated
scores of communities and cut power to 10’s of thousands.
FYI:
George Bush did not come.
FEMA did nothing.
No one howled for the government.
No one blamed the government.
No one even uttered an expletive on TV .
Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton did not visit.
Our Mayor did not blame Bush or anyone else.
Our Governor did not blame Bush or anyone else, either.
CNN, ABC, CBS, FOX or NBC did not visit -
or report on this category 5 snowstorm.
Nobody demanded $2,000 debit cards.
No one asked for a FEMA Trailer House.
No one looted.
Nobody - I mean Nobody demanded the government do something.
Nobody expected the government to do anything, either.
No Larry King, No Bill O’Rielly, No Oprah, No Chris Mathews and No Geraldo Rivera.
No Shaun Penn, No Barbara Striesand, No Hollywood types to be found.
Nope, we just melted the snow for water.
Sent out caravans of SUV’s to pluck people out of snow engulfed cars.
The truck drivers pulled people out of snow banks and didn’t ask for a penny.
Local restaurants made food and the police and fire departments delivered it to the snowbound families.
Families took in the stranded people - total strangers.
We fired up wood stoves, broke out coal oil lanterns or Coleman lanterns.
We put on extra layers of clothes because up here it is “Work or Die”.
We did not wait for some affirmative action government to get us out of a mess created by being immobilized by a welfare program that trades votes for ’sittin at home’ checks.
Even though a Category “5″ blizzard of this scale has never fallen this early, w e know it can happen and how to deal with it ourselves.
“In my many travels, I have noticed that once one gets north of about 48 degrees North Latitude, 90% of the world’s social problems evaporate.”
Maybe SOME people will get the message.
The world does Not owe you a living.Peace.~J.
