Weirdos at Wendy’s
I have to note something that happened a few days ago; My son who is 15 and protective of mama , my daughter who is 8, and myself were in the car on the way to the gym to work out, and it decided to overheat, of course on the highway.. so I pulled into the nearest lot, happened to be a Wendy’s. I went inside to let the car cool down and order something for my kids; dressed in tight booty clinging capris and a super tiny tank since this is what I work out in…well holy crap you would have thought I was someone freaking famous, every head turned and looked and dare I say they were looking at me every single solitary person was an over-weight male. Not one woman, not a grandma, nothing; it was the twilight zone in there and they stared!! I ordered a diet pop and a grilled chicken salad and we sat in the corner..my son continually turned around and snapped at several folks that were cranking their necks.. he was covering me in the corner, so no one could see me LOL!! He said to me “Geez, pervs.. you’d think a fit person has never walked into a Wendy’s” I just looked at my beautiful, very big boy, and was sooooo flattered what a sweetie he’s an awesome kid.
That was certainly a creepy ego boost though I should have ordered a double bacon something with cheese and ate it

<strong />
I hate to admit that I haven’t hardly had a chance to lift weights this week; all my cardio was done except for 2 sessions; I have implemented the running/sprint/bleacher HELL combo though. Today was the first time I really felt like I got in a full, good, work out lifting wise. My muscles were full and hard as heck when I was done nice!
AM Cardio @ track
Jog x 4m
Sprint x 1m
Bleachers every time I pass them (about every 3m) 4x up and down
Repeat for 45m
this absolutely kicks my ASS but makes me feel all athletic, I like it
PULL DAY
Seated Wide Grip Pull Down
3×12 @ 90 ~ HELLO strength is back
Prone Hamstring Curls heavy squeeze at top
3×9 @ 110
Seated Low Cable Row
3×9 @ 120
Seated ADDuction
3×9 @ 75 ~ intentionally stayed moderate here
DB Lateral Raises ~ quick up, contolled slow negatives
3×9 @ 17.5 each hand
Standing Cable/Plate loaded Curls ~ no thumbs
3×9 @ 70 ~
Rope/Plate loaded crunch on Fitball (pull from behind head)
3×15 @ 40
Lever Seated Side Crunch
3×15 @ 25
PM Cardio
45 min on StepMill
FW, BW, skipping steps, all of it; with speed burst intervals every 5th minute
WHEW… feel good though

back on the horse..and a small rant, lol
Back to the weight room today for the first time, I have done cardio since Monday but no weights. Well, after a great practice show and a placing I am quite pleased with; I am heading to Team U in over 6 weeks. I am scared, and nervous and apprehensive and want to wait and just prep for Junior USAs instead.. lol.. but I am not allowed. So I consider myself now about 1/2 way to where I want to be. I am going to execute this like a science experiment, every morsel, logged and timed in a book, weighed, measured, blah blah blah. I am also using all fresh, and natural and organic this next 6 weeks. I always select hormone free meats, but will be doing the all natural thing 100 percent of the way this time. NO deviation, procrastination, just perfection
I dont know what I expect at all, just to do well and to look great up there is all I can ask for
I will be totally revamping my training from a traditional split to more athletic-type training ~ speed, agility, running, etc; I WILL NOT stop lifting weights, not for my upper an not for my legs..and I will QUIT figure completly without a second thought before I do that. It is the one stress reliever in my life that I will not give up. I will not give up the weights. I would love to try bodybuilding but cant seem to find a lot of support in that, and always wanted to attempt fitness; despite what others may think I think I would do well, but cant afford the additional monies for the routine prep~ Figure is becoming less appealing to me by the second. My husband has been trained in the past as a fighter (for 14 years), has a black belt, and is getting back into it slowly (once I am done for the year) he was chatted up by some people that own a boxing gym and I would gladly follow suit ~ get a sleeve, gain 10 lbs of muscle and go kick some ASS!! But for now this is my road and I will follow it until it leads me no where or to a better place

I find when I am one hundred percent perfect on my dietary plan and timing and supplements, I have so little energy on low days I could die. I feel generally just a little tired on high days..this is normal for me at this time in my prep. I have found that New York is really f**king expensive and YES I knew this, I do watch t.v., geez ~ but upon planning the trip, making lists and looking everything up I discover its so much and its really, really gonna suck for the seven weeks or so before Team U. I check daily for the entry forms, how much is it to enter a national show?
I found a hotel 4 miles away in Jersey thats around $144/night (compared to $344/average in the city) and has a 3 star CLEAN (most important to me) rating. This is so high, I feel cheap or as thinking that way, but damn, we are barely an $85/night family, we still complain under our breath at that price when we travel during the year. I even had to email dvsness who resides in Brooklyn (now w/ Mr. Dan) on another board and ask if its reasonable to drive that far, in New York City, lol…I am not a hick, I grew up in Denver I have lived on many military bases, but New York, its the epitomy of urban high life; I am very excited, and aprehensive and scared she was helpful Car rental (I dont fly. period.) food, entry fees, tickets, parking ($30/day), my tan from Jan Tana or who ever is there, and HOLY SH*T the gas!! I have compared plane tickets and cost of gas and the prices airlines currently offer are much more expensive than driving and renting. I have two kids, and one is a fifteeen year old boy, and hes a HUGE boy, genetically gifted (of course ) so he eats like he’s competing in it. Yikes, just smacks you in the face the sheer cost of it all. I am really excited though, I just want to go and have a good time and relax and see what happens, enjoy the experience.
Currently I am really craving sweets and chips and these meat/cheese/mexican stuffed sopapias; I watched the food-porno channel earlier, they made death-by-chocolate cake and then apple crisp and enchiladas; I don’t know what the hell is wrong with me, I shouldn’t watch those shows.
Did BodyPump saturday, nothing but double cardio on Sunday and today I did a full body depletion work out; 2 sets for each body part to near failure, moderate wieght; part machine, hammer strength, free weight.
AM cardio was track sprint intervals x 30m + bleachers (total bleacher time was 15m)
PM Cardio was 30m StepMill L4-L8, ARC Trainer, super-high incline, 25 resistance, 18 minutes
Diet: PERFECT; I made all my food for the week through Thursday.. all low of course lol, premeasured, pretupperwared, and loaded in the fridge.
Water: Done. 1.5 gallons by 8 PM
Mood: cranky and short tempered but overall pretty ok; happy I got make-up and tan appointments confirmed for Friday/Saturday.
Pics… mmmmm, maybe tomorrow or Wed, but very informal. I may even post a pic from 15.5 weeks ago LOL; eek.

nothing exciting to report for yesterday; no lifting as I am on a 2 days on 1 day off regimen for weight training.
SO.. I did 45 minutes on the StepMill, level 7 for 4 minutes cycles and then a burst to level 10 for 1 min; repeated for entire duration.
PM I walk/jogged for 4 min around the track, then every 5th minute I sprinted as fast as humanly possible (for me anyway). Did this for 30 minutes and then went to the bleacher stands and ran up and then laterally stepped down for 15 minutes; stopped once for about 2 minutes to catch my breath.
Coaches said I look lean this week; so that’s nice to hear for sure I had my high carb day yesterday and today I feel "puffy"; my fingers and ankles and although my abs are remarkably flat, they are smooth this morning. Hopefully by tonight I will have flushed most of this out of my body.
Going to lift today at 24HF; I like the early afternoon as the gym is absolutely dead. I have most of the place to myself, its nice.

OK, well pics are blurry, don’t know why, should have used a flash I guess ?? But you can still see the jist of what I am trying to show off here; I am a little superstitious about posting pics this prep for some reason
here are some blurry shots I took yesterday morning; no haircut, just bad morning bun in my hair

again I KNOW they are blurry but couldnt see that till they were on my computer :embarrassed:

OK, well this week has been a bit o’ hell. I managed all my cardio, all 4 lifting sessions, trained all (whopping 11) clients without rescheduling anyone and was SPOT F*CKING on my diet.
Woke up this morning, Sunday, expecting a nice easy going day, some yard work, cooking and I love Sundays at 24HF. However these plans were soon hampered when I found my eight-year-old daughter in the bathroom, after I followed a very long trail of barf that went from her room to the bathroom, to the living room  to the bathroom again. *sigh* so after 3 loads of barfy laundry, and retying my clothes line that someone thought it would be funny to cut in half, in order to hang her of course dry clean only comforter outside after I washed it in the washer anyway. She was stable for the moment, so I did my AM cardio while her Dad hung out with her on the couch watching Discovery Kids network; oh lol, Happy Father’s Day babe
I go up to my son’s school (Obama held a private press conference there last month)and they have a huge beautiful football field and running track and bleachers. It’s so nice here in Colorado and I cant stand to do cardio indoors when the air is crisp and its still cool in the morning. Normally I am done by 0730 in the morning, but due to barfzilla did not get there till almost 10.
Track running
4 minutes slow jog (4.5-5.0 mph)
40 second all-out super sprint (7.5-8.0 mph)
Repeated the above interval a total of 6 times (30 minutes)
Bleachers
Walked/Ran quickly up skipping every other step, stepped laterally (very fat) down
Repeated the above a total of 22 times in 15 minutes.
My ass was on fire.
I like this.
No training today. I am only training (lifting) for two days in a row, and taking every 3rd day off; on the recommendation of my prep-coaches. I tend to like to train 6 days a week, when doing all the cardio and in a caloric deficit it just doesn’t fly. My body will fall apart. So today, my muscles rest I didn’t make it to the tanning place, I am darkening nicely ~ still on the ‘golden’ side, want more brown; the Irish/Scottish/German blood in my wants to argue about that. I think I mentioned this, but my hair is damned-near black now; its very very dark brown I thought the reddish auburn and the protan and my red posing suit was all working against eachother. I have gotten nothing but compliments since the change, my eyes are gray (hubby calls them ’steel’ ) so the hair makes them ‘pop’ which I am loving for stage.
Made my appointment with Elite tan (aka airbrushyourtan) (Oxygen Mag’s best airbrush tan; 2006) to have my tan done the night before the local (aka stage-practice before Team U) show; I haven’t used them before but I know many competitors that have and the owner, Christine is really good ~ we chatted for a bit at the show last weekend (Mile High Natural) and after seeing how incredibly even and dark they were coming out, I made an appointment. So.. YAAAAY no pro-tan painting for 4 days. I am really excited to see the results.
I do however, have to shave my butt apparently. She was very insistent on the pre-tan prep and that even though I will be bald..from my full leg, Brazilian, and arm waxing..she says you cannot have ANY hair AT ALL on any part of your body ~ so you must shave your back, belly, chest, ‘buttocks’ or the tanner just sits atop the hairs and never dries; so this should be interesting, I don’t think my bum even has any peach fuzz, its smooooooth We were going to buy a jan-tana sprayer, but it is not in the financial cards this season ~ could it be the 600.00 AXIS drum pedals that someone got for Father’s Day ; I will likely pay the $150 to have Jan Tana spray me at Team U ~ we are driving from Denver to New York, I do not want to be sitting in tanner in early September, ugh. Anyway, getting excited
Until tomorrow, hopefully
