Your Inner Monster

Wednesday, May 21st, 2008
Come out come out where ever you are. I am a firm believer in the monster that lives inside each and everyone of us. Some people can channel the monster into good some let it take over them and they become bad while still others never even know they have a monster in them. I saw my monster today it came out when frustration sat in from issue at the job. I suddenly saw my monster and it gave me strength do another 5 reps.
No word yet on my Mom’s condition which in this case is a good thing as they said they wouldn’t call her if blood was elevated.
Last night a friend and I were sitting out on the back balcony smoking cigars and talking about how his mariage ended up in divorce (we are still very confused) the kids opted to stay with Dad. Seriously most woman would kill for a husband like this guy. So you fit 40 somethings females looking for a good guy in Southern California might be in luck. :-) Well why we were out last night I managed to spot 8 satellites a new record for me and not bad for living in the city.
As for my workouts they are going great my muscles are really starting to add size to them. I am way behind on my cardio and don’t plan on getting that back on track until later this week. I still do self hypnosis and meditation seems to help me focus and keep calm throughout the day.

A friend put down a challenge for best body by July 4th. I have to really step it up he has already competed in a Body Building competition before so I know I am going to have a run for my money.

Diet: I had a laps this last weekend we had two graduations and a wedding. So my eating was not clean at all I was just trying to stay alive as the graduations got pretty hot 98 degrees the first day and over 100 the second day. I am back to eating clean now and plan on staying that way through Sunday.

Workouts: My workouts are still volume of reps over weight. I am really getting the muscles to pump up. My arms felt like they were going to explode on Monday always a good thing. I have switched up my days a bit I am moving my legs day off of Sunday and might move it to Thursdays Arms have been moved to Mondays and Shoulder and Back has been moved to Friday.

Mind: My mental games are still being played out every night I really have to figure out how to focus more on my cardio needs although I am starting to see the body of my visions in the reflection in the mirror. I don’t see the body all the time but I do see glimpses here and there.

I hope you have a good one and find that inner monster and put it good use.

Chest and chisle

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

Hello friends I am working hard to get that body I want how about you? So far this week…well I won’t go there I did a lot! Today was chest and abs I did three different exercise for chest and than some painful ab work. My eating today was very low carb I did use some GI spiking foods in my breakfast but really super clean today.

I got some bad news today and I want everyone to add my Mom to your prayers. They found a tumor they apparently found it last year but she was in the middle of my Dad passing away and never called the doctors back. They only wanted to watch it anyways. It appears to have not changed size or shape over the last year so they are concerned but not overly. They did do blood work to make sure hopefully (say them prayers) she will be fine. My Mom has already expressed her views if it is cancerous which she will not go through with an operation and instead just live out what she has left.

She feels surgery and the treatments will just be too hard on the family. I have not yet begun to battle with her over this as I feel it’s not worth fighting until we know if it is cancerous.

Alright now that I have that said lets move into my workout today.

Diet: Super clean bowl of fruit this morning with oat meal, and egg whites. Second meal with lean ground turkey with brown rice, third meal was a post workout protein shake. Fourth meal was 2 x 8oz lean skinless chicken breast. Fifth meal was another protein shake this one was with water previous was with milk. Finally my 6 th meal was lean cut pork chop all fat removed with some veggies.

Workout: Chest today was awesome started with 2 warm up sets at just 135 lbs than I moved up to 225lbs seems I was a bit weaker today but I still got a great workout I hit 11 reps for my first set and 10 for my second set. Upset that I was weaker I dropped to 135 lbs and did 18 more reps. I followed up with 4 sets of pullovers and finished with inclined presses. Our ball crunches were done with 8 lb medicine ball (oh the joy) 15 reps per set 4 sets.

Mind: Always thinking keep yourself always thinking use that time just before bed and see the body you want, see the things you are going to do the next day to get that body. I lost 12 lbs last week and I plan on loosing another 5 lbs this week. Before you get to excited remember that I put on weight for a week on purpose to shock my system. Still I am below the weight I was stuck at. I will keep you guessing for now maybe I will surprise you with some updated photos.

Keep up the good fight.

Where have I been?

Thursday, May 8th, 2008

Well as you can guess from the photo it is that time of year again…nope I don’t mean beach and babes I mean AVP. Every year I support Volleyball Magazine as the leading contributor of beach photography. I have nearly a dozen magazine covers to my name and this is really only a part time job now. So weekends and sometimes on Friday I am out at the beach covering the worlds best in Beach Volleyball as they go for gold.

I am on a carb cut day today and I feeling the pain tomorrow is medium carb day so I should feel a bit more energy than. Still have a ways to go but today I was shocked as I stood fully clothed and was still right around 260 lbs. To give you a hint being 6′5 I carry about 12 lbs around in clothes alone don’t believe me head to your store and asked to see some shoes in size 15.

Work is good my co-worker is still bugging me but I have calmed down and have taken the high road every time. I think my meditation time is really keeping me in check. I do want to do a Marathon and I want to do it in just about 4 hrs this goal comes from the fact that I really can’t run and recently I have been finding ways to allow myself the pleasure of running.

Diet: Always clean seems Sunday is my only cheat day still losing weight but just slowly. I am doing a serious cycle of carbs dropping down to under 60g on my low day. I doing what ever I can to get this fat off I don’t want it any longer than I have to.

Workouts: Well I have shifted from super heavy loads to now volume of reps just 4 sets with load and loads of reps I almost hit 225 lbs for 20 reps on my bench which is not bad.

Mind: Couldn’t be any clearer I am seriously doing nearly 20 minutes of meditation/self hypnosis every day I feel so much better when I get it done early but the last few days I have done it in the evening.

I hope everyone has had a great day. I do have to make one comment I was a fan of the show workout but after what they said about Jamie Eason and firing her friend Peeler I will never watch the show again.
