A little at a time….

Friday, April 27th, 2007

Well I am starting to get over my illness and then my sister’s baby starts having serious problems and is now heading for surgery.  I need to be there for her but I am not making an excuse I plan to still hit the gym tonight even it is 11 pm.

Who needs sleep anyways???

My goal for the upcoming week is going to be 5 lbs I want to lose 5 lbs by next Sunday.  I will have a hard time as I am shooting a tournament and going to a friends wedding late in the week.  I plan to keep all of my workouts done early in the week so I can miss my workouts later as I will have very full days on Friday - Sunday.

I honestly will try and get some photos up of me soon life is crazy right now I just can’t figure out when it is going to calm down.  I think I actually asked for this type of insanity in a prayer once I have no clue why and I certainly take it back.  I just want some nice mellow days so I can get squared around to base and get my bat up.  Right now I feel like I can’t even get into the batters box without being hit by the ball.

Until next time….later!

Still sick…..

Tuesday, April 24th, 2007

Well my stomach still feels like a swiss cheese grader but I am writing again anyways.  I am now battling sleep problems, the stomach flu, house selling stress, and work stress.  Did I mention that I turn 32 tomorrow April 25th.  I feel like I am going to be fat my entire life I really am having problems finding my goal I have decided to shrink the size of my goal to just a number per week.  I am writing everything that goes in my mouth amounts of water, tomorrow (possibly cake) you name it.  I have to get a handle on this I was doing so well for so long and this stress and illness really has me beaten down.

As a side note does anyone ever feel like they need to be hit?

My parents were never abusive or anything but my dad did have me doing some boxing as a kid.  I feel like I need to experience it again to feel alive.  I use to go to a spot in the mountains to kind of recover but recently my vacations have been non-existent and when I do have them I have to go where the wife needs to go. :-)

Any help would be good help!

Managing my monsters

Thursday, April 19th, 2007

Yes yes to the comments I need to get some photos up.  So yesterday was my off day I normally do cardio anyways but didn’t get the chance.  The wife was working late so I had to manage the monsters.  So instead of doing the normal family thing sit down in front of the TV and chow I moved our furniture around and made a big open space.  We ate a small dinner then the blankets came out and the dogs came in.  We then proceeded to wrestle with dogs, kids, and me until someone gave up.  Luckily for me I out lasted everyone I fed the dogs put them out and then changed the kids for bed and by the time my wife got home they were asleep.

Still having the stomach thing going on not sure what’s up there I am eating really clean must be a stomach virus.  If it comes back today I will make an appointment with the doctors.

Drinking plenty of water and will be hitting the gym around 8 pm.  I will be performing a back and bicep workout for about and hour and then doing cardio for 30-60 minutes depending on what machine I grab.

As a side note I earned my silver medal in the President’s Challenge, I only have a little more ways to go to win my Gold.  By the way just because I am doing the President’s challenge doesn’t mean I agree with the current guy in office. :-)

My first post!

Wednesday, April 18th, 2007

I know I know I need to add pictures I just got to take a minute at home and do it.  I am overweight and trying to fight the fat battle.  I have already lost a significant amount of weight I originally started this journey  at 320 lbs.  I started trying to lose weight when my wife was pregnant with my daughter but it didn’t happen.  When my daughter was turning 1 year old my son was 2 years old and I couldn’t even keep up with either of them.  I was winded on mild walks and really feeling bad about myself.  So I headed back to the gym, but ran into problems work was getting cranky about arriving late and getting up much earlier was impossible.  So with my wife’s assistance we did the next step we bought the gym and put it into our garage.  Weight started flying off the no commute to the gym gave me just what I needed a bit of extra time.  With the additional time I was able to get 1 to 1.5 hours of gym time every morning.  As our schedules began to clear up I added cardiovascular work in the evening.

Rotator Cuff Injury - Article

Just about 6 weeks ago I injured my rotator cuff.  I took it seriously at the first twinge of pain and began treating it with a hot/cold scenario.  I kept up the cardio and about 2-3 weeks ago hit 250 lbs.  I still have a long way to go I am aiming for 240 lbs my end of May.  I started back lifting this week no pain little bit of tightness but no pain.

The only thing going on right now is I am sick, at least I think I am sick just about every time I eat I am getting an upset stomach.  I am eating 6-7 meals a day and right before my next meal it calms down and then I eat and start the entire process over again.  I have had this problem for 3 days now seems to hit more towards the evening.  Most likely a virus but if anyone has any ideas share them please.

James
