Ok, so measurements were about what I expected on Sunday. My weight is a bit distressing, though - this is the heaviest I’ve been since I started tracking my weight on BodySpace. Let’s change that.
I didn’t hit the gym on Sunday or Monday to give myself 2 solid days of rest, but I did go this morning for cardio. This session was real tough at first, but once I got my heart rate up it was better. I got to bed a bit late last night, so I’m gonna be diligent about getting to bed on time tonight.
Tomorrow morning is another cardio session, then Thursday night I start up weights for the 2-set week.

Last night’s workout was good, and it was actually quite brisk, which was really nice. I forgot that these 3-days-a-week plans have a shorter night on back night. Deadlifts weren’t all that bad, but they still kick my butt.
Today I went first thing in the morning for my last weight workout of the week. Gym was packed but most of the people there were doing the spinning class or the aerobics class. I actually had finished my workout and was on my way home when I got pulled over for running a yellow/red light. The officer asks me for my DL, but MY WALLET WAS GONE. I got off with a warning and high-tailed it back to the gym where my wallet was lodged in the seat area of the leg press…. WHEW. It was kind of a blessing that I got pulled over because if I hadn’t, I’d have made it all the way home before I noticed my wallet missing.
Interesting morning, to say the least. But anyway - I’m gonna enjoy the rest of the day, and am probably not going to do anything tomorrow. M - W I’ll probably do my morning cardio dealie.
Oh yeah, and measurements tomorrow.

Gym was kinda packed last night, and I wasn’t able to start my workout right away due to the station I needed being taken up. Both stations that I can use for my benches were being used, but luckily one of the guys was done pretty fast so I started up.
This week I’m gonna use as my warm-up week. I’m just gonna do 1 set to get me back into the groove, then I’ll move on to the full cycle, starting with the 2-set week.
But that’s next week. This week, I’m glad to be back on the train. I’m gonna really focus on DOING what I need to do to lose this fat instead of spending a bunch of time talking about it or planning it.
So what I’ve DONE this week:
1. Done cardio consistently.
2. Started weights up again.
3. Kept my meals consistent, and really have been watching my intake.
Next week I get into the nitty-gritty. Tracking total calories consumed, measuring, and everything.
Tonight, though, is my 2nd weight night for the week, and my least favorite night - back night. Yuck.

Ok, today was a big tougher getting up but I still got in my 30 minutes. I think I’m gonna hit the sack early tonight.
That’s pretty much it. Tomorrow night is my first night of weights for the week. I may do some stretches tonight, but I’ll play it by ear.

Ok, I moved Monday’s workout to this morning and hit the gym first thing. I actually beat the alarm clock today, which is rare, and is especially interesting due to the fact that I got up extra early today.
Anyhow - it was a good workout. I’m seriously considering hitting the gym in the mornings for cardio instead of at night - get it out of the way first thing, start the day off with an energizing workout. Well - I fell asleep on the train on the way in today, but I’m wide awake now, and that’s what counts!
I think I’ll do some stretching tonight. If not, I’ll be hitting the gym again in the morning for my third cardio session this week.

Ok, tonight I was at the gym for the first night in over a month now, and it felt good. I just did cardio tonight for a solid 30 minutes.
My hip’s been a bit achey lately, so I’m hoping there isn’t a relapse of severe pain like last year. I’m gonna be extra nice to it and see how it goes.
I’ve been really good recently about not going out to eat. I’ve been eating 99% of my meals at home. I’ve only gone out once or twice a week instead of every day for every meal. This has helped me get into a dietary groove which I’m hoping to stay consistent with for the rest of the year.
My new goal is to lose 50 pounds of fat by the end of the year - I definitely think this is doable. I’m gonna focus on cardio and stretches, with weights 3 days a week. I’m actually moving soon and will have access to a pool so I can start doing some true no-impact aerobics.
Tomorrow I’m gonna do cardio. I’m still planning on my weight days being at the end of the week.

Ok, measurement day, and I basically spun my wheels this week. Hips went down, but waist went up and scale stayed the same, so obviously I’m gonna have to watch my eating this week more carefully.
Today I’m gonna hit the gym for weights and cardio. I’ll update again after that workout.

Just got done with cardio for the night and am getting my last meal for the night ready. Been a good week so far. Tomorrow night I’m heading to the gym for my 2nd night’s weight workout, then Saturday and Sunday will also both be weight workout days.
I’m really glad I decided to go to the 3-days workout program - it really relieves a lot of stress surrounding workout nights.
Been keeping on track with diet this week. I think I may finally be starting to overcome my sugar craving, which is a really good thing. I haven’t had a sweettooth all week. I’m gonna stay strong and keep the junk out of the house.

Ok, lost 4 pounds this week, and my measurements are down, which are all good signs that I’m starting off on the right foot. I’m gonna keep this momentum going and really stay consistent with my diet this week.
Tonight I’m headed back to the gym for my first weight session and cardio. I’m crossing my fingers that I don’t have to deal with anymore injuries.
****Update - Post-Workout****
Ok, back from the gym and I feel good. Had an excellent cardio session tonight, but I think I overestimated the weights on a couple of sets. No biggie - just gotta be more careful next time.
I’m gonna eat my meal and pretty much hit the sack.

Good week so far. Been staying on track with my diet and have kept bad foods out of the house. I’m noticing a trend to substitute bad sugar with good sugar. I’m really gonna have to find a way to kick this sugar habit I’ve developed.
I’ve also decided to go back to a 3-days-per-week weight lifting schedule. It’s simply become too much for me to get to the gym for weight training 5 days each week. I’m confident that this is the right decision for my current schedule, and one that will let me easily stay consistent with my workouts.
This weekend I’m stranded at home with no car, so no gym until Sunday night. I’m juggling my days a bit this week, with a bit of overlap into next week, but no biggie, and I’m doing what I can at home - stretching and cardio. We’ll see how the measurements go on Sunday.
