My original long term goal was get to 225lbs at 10% bodyfat. I’ve spent a lot of time lately thinking about just how attainable that goal is, and have decided to lower my long term goal to 210lbs @ 9% bodyfat. Once I reach this new long term goal - and I will - I may decide to go for the 225lb mark, but until then my long term final goal is 210lbs @ 9%.

The good news is I’ve been back on track for around 2 weeks now, but its been a bit of a bumpy road. I’d say my diet has been in check about 75% of the time, but once I get some more supplies in I should be able to get my diet completely in check.
The bad news is that in the last 2 weeks I’ve jumped from 175lbs to 182lbs. Now in theory thats good news, but the gains are not so much down to diet/workout, as they are down to my new medication - which I started just over 2 weeks ago - so its mostly fat and water. Its not really that bad news I guess as I find cutting pretty easy On the plus side another side effect is increased appetite, so I have no problem eating the required calories each day!
Overall though I have to say I’m happy at being 182lbs, even if its not under ideal conditions. My BF% is far too high for my liking, but I’ll refrain from re-measuring that for a while yet.

I will update later today with current stats, but today is finally the day I can get back on track. My BF% has shot up in recent months, thanks to a combination of bad diet, no exercise and the medication I’m on. I was considering cutting, but have decided to just continue with bulking until I hit the 200lb mark like I previously planned. Hopefully I can keep my motivation up and have some postive results by the end of the year!

On my last blog entry on April 4th, I predicted that my inability to eat much (due to repeated mouth surgery, which is now completed and all healed up), would cause me to drop from 176lbs to about 160lbs. I based that on experience, as usually if I stop eating a bulking diet, the weight falls off. Well as it turns out, I couldnt be more wrong, but thats not necessarily a good thing.
I was 176lbs @ 17.6%BF at the beginning of April, and now 2 months later, after not eating very much at all (and even then it was crap), coupled with very limited exercise of any kind, I’m 175lbs….@ 20%BF.
Obviously this is far from ideal, but lookiong back, a little surprising its not higher than 20%.
I need to get a few supplies in as the cupboards are empty, but if all goes to plan I’ll be back to bulking by Monday

I had a tooth out last week, and my gums have been too sore to be able to eat much ever since. I have to have another tooth out in 3 weeks, on the other side, before a 3rd appointment in 7 weeks time.
As a result of this I’m nowhere near eating enough, and I’ve got to the point where attempting to drink most of my meals is making me want to throw up. I’m probably getting by on less than 800 calories a day at the moment, and unsurprisingly, I feel like shit.
Chewing solid food on just the left side of my mouth is hard enough, but when the other tooth is pulled - from the left side - in 3 weeks, I’m gonna be screwed if the right side is still sore.
My current diet tends to consist of baked beans, tuna, bread and milk (not at the same time, all seperate).
So looks like I’m on hiatus for a month or two, which means I’ll likely drop back down to 160ish, based on past experience. Dammit.

I’ve given up on the "Liquid bulk" and am replacing it with a "Liquid cut". I have under 2 weeks until I can (finally) get the tooth extracted that causing me all the problems with enflamed gums etc, so until them I’m gonna try a mini cut before restarting the bulk at the beginning of April.

Got back from dentist yesterday with a diagnosis that doesnt really help my bulking. I have fillings, abcesses, and teeth that need extracting. Only problem is, because theres so much work to be done, its being spread over 3 months. My gums are so sore that any chewing is out of the question.
This means I’m stuck with being unable to chew anything until all this work is completed - in 3 months time.
Oats and whey shakes get old fast, and I’ve taken to basically swallowing food whole just so I can attempt to eat enough, which had proven (unsurprisingly) to be a bad idea, leading to a lot of indigestion.
Before today I was only surviving on about 600-800 cals a day, as I was in too much pain, at least now I’ve got some medication that reduces (some of) the pain, and doesnt make me sleep 14 hours a day.
Any ideas for some liquid-esque meals would be greatly appreciated

Pretty much the same as yesterday’s blog entry, but hopefully I can get an appointment tomorrow and get to the root - literally - of the problem.

Read up on some articles, mainly motivational ones, so that I can keep the motivation up, even if I can do very little. I don’t want to end up like I was a while back, with no motivation, it took me ages to get out of that routine.
I recommend people reading the articles on this site, theres some really good ones that are great for motivation, amongst other things.

I’m going to make a dentist appointment on Monday, as I’m sure there’s more to this continuous pain than just damn wisdom teeth coming through. Last night I was awake all night, no sleep at all, and without sleep I can’t function through the day. I also can barely eat because my gums keep getting so sore. This sucks.
So for now, I’m officially, but temporarily, on hiatus from all aspects of bodybuilding.
I may keep updating this blog daily during my hiatus, but seeing as its become a "toothache blog", I’m not sure its worth it LOL. I’ll see anyway I guess.
