Which Whey Protein is best for building muscle?
I’ve noticed that all the women’s workout magazines has ads for BSN Dessert, however I just went to place an order on the Bodybuilding.com store and noticed the Optimum Whey has less calories and more protein per scoop. Is there anything about the BSN Dessert that makes it a preferred product for women? I’m working hard to add muscle!

Probably not. I do use Optimum and have had the best results for me with it especially if I use Labrada Pro v60 at night since it has casein/whey blend and will slowly metabolize. Have had good luck with BSN products though, so I would say you can’t go wrong either way in my mind.

At the end of the day: Whey protein is whey protein. When perusing labels the two items of primary interest should be servings per container and grams of protein per serving.

I’ve used the Syntha-6 and currently on Optimun and although BSN does taste pretty good. Optimun taste just fine and I prefer it because of the lower carbs.

Like Body Auditor said….Whey is Whey. I am actually just using the GNC brand right now. Its 130 cals per serving, 5 carbs, 20 g. protein.
The BSN is REALLY good, but it’s pretty pricey!! So, try them out, see what you like best!
It’s great to hear from you!!! I almost didn’t recognize the pic!! Glad to see you bloggin, it’s fun!!

Hey girlie! I want in on the fluffing….send me some details on how to get in. I’m a bit slow at catching on! I have tomorrow off though so I can set some short term goals and take some pics. I’m ready!

Hey, girl!!! glad to hear you might de-fluff with us… ummm…. i just got bsn…to try. it is good. I have changed my proteins based on the time of day, right after a workout i am using an egg based and whey combination, and at night a casein and whey based protein. the first is quickly processed by the body to resore the muscles after a hard workout, the later is a slowing processing protein to feed muscles at nite….
so much to learn….
