My friends are trying to talk me into competing next July. It means a 45lb fat loss and a LOT of work. Can I do it? Watch this space…..

Have just posted some recent pics in the progress pics bit of this…..I’ve been complaining that I’m no slimmer, in fact I’m bigger and 10 pounds heavier but I last posted pic up a year ago and despite being bigger and heavier, I seem to have put a fair bit of muscle on so now I feel a bit better about putting the pics up…….

Well since my last post, where I had a bit of an awakening, a few things have happened. I went to my first show a month ago - the UKBFF Finals and it was bloody great! Loved it! Met a girl I’d been chatting to on another forum (and a few other people from there too) and she’s had some great results recently - shedding a stone and a half of fat, so she gave me details of her diet. Started it a couple of weeks ago and has been going well, though I’ve just been on holiday and had a couple of ‘cheats’
Training has been consistent for a while and now I’m eating properly, I know when the best time to train for me is, and I’m hitting PBs at the moment. Changed to a four day split and changed the bodyparts trained so it now looks like this;
Chest/biceps/abs
Back/hamstrings
Delts/triceps/abs
Quads/calves
Am off to another show on Sunday - this one’s a qualifier for next year’s finals and 3 people from my gym are competing so should be pretty cool
Still haven’t found my own fit bloke yet lol but that just means I can concentrate on training…..

I haven’t updated here much at all lately, which is very slack of me though I’ve been updating my lifting stats
Had a bit of an epiphany yesterday. Met up with a bodybuilder I’ve been chatting to for a while. I’m not the most body confident in the world, but we had an excellent chat. I now have motivation for the first time in months to get myself in shape once and for all. Not contest shape, but ‘peel off the extra coating of fat, get fit, and look good in clothes’ shape
It also opened my eyes a bit as to the sort of men I’m attracted to and attracting (trust me, this man was stunning!) I really need to RAISE my standards. THere are all sorts of reasons for this - normally body type etc hasn’t bothered me overly but it has occurred to me that if I continue with the chubby-chasing, I’ll always end up with men who drink/smoke/eat too much and are not interested in getting fit and healthy and I’ll just stay as I am, or get bigger
If I go for fitter men, it will help my motivation some….why it’s taken me so long to work this out I don’t know.
Ah well, I like going to my gym anyway, looks like I’ll be spending longer there if only to force myself to do a decent amount of cardio….

I’m very sorry - haven’t been updating my workout log either - oops!!
Ah well - an update anyway.
Have started back on the keto -mainly because it actually worked well last time, I have no distractions anymore (except a 3 day hotel stay this week - oops!!) and I really have turned into a heifer
Must be on Day 5 today. Slight trauma this morning as scales have gone back up but it’s probably a girl thing….
Have been doing quite well at the gym - have everything sorted now just need to get there tomorrow for a decent workout before two days of crappy hotel gym (at least it has a pool)
Complete non-gym observation now.
On being single……odd how friends suddenly know these people who would be ‘perfect’ for you - usually when you’re not interested in a relationship. Odd how the ones you want only want something casual, but the ones who are casual want more….strange how as soon as I become interested in someone who’s been single for ages, loads of other girls get interested (and he picks one of them)
Ah well…..leaves me free to be distracted by beefy men at the gym

Ooer missus!!!
Well it seems an age since I wrote anything here. Actually it probably is. So many things have happened.
On a personal level, I got dumped. It wasn’t a particularly healthy relationship in the end - apart from getting fat from all the takeaways, I dropped a lot of self esteem and felt pretty crap for a few weeks. I’m better now though
New gym opened and it’s a posh Gold’s - all new equipment. I’ve spent the last 3 weeks working out what all the machines do and trying stuff out. I’ll finally get to write a proper programme over the next week or so when I have time.
I sprained my ankle a month or so ago. For weeks all I could do was 10 mins on the bike but it’s stopped hurting in the last couple of days so next week I’ll try a slow jog
Feeling quite motivated at the moment. Lack of cash means no social life, and I’m single so no-one else to worry about so more time to spend at the gym!!!
My next challenge is trying to eat well on the most ridiculous budget ever……

The gym reopens tomorrow - it’s all big and new and shiny and has interesting new machines and a juice bar, lockers in the changing rooms and TVs on the cardio equipment, as well as a cardio theatre that shows films - at last, something likely to keep me doing cardio for longer than 10 minutes!!!
Really looking forward to it - once I’ve got the lie of the land can write a new programme but for now, I’ll just be playing on everything and seeing what it does…..
Shame I’m away most of the week but will give me something to look forward to

My internet connection is back on, for now, I’ve started back on low carb again today, so far so good.
I went to the gym and enjoyed it so much I did abs.
Note to self: Do not go to the gym at 5pm. If I must, I must not try to train chest on Mondays. EVERYONE does chest on Mondays. Monday should be leg day
Today I ate;
Handful of peanuts
Greek salad (feta, olives, tomatoes, cucumber, onion ), sunflower seeds, 250ml Coke Zero
Superfood salad (various leaves, broccoli, baby purple basil, soybeans, carrot ) with prawns and mayo
Smoked mackerel, frankfurter, cherry tomatoes, sugar snap peas, 1oz Port Salut cheese, 5 sugar free fruit gums
Not actually that much it would seem but I’m not hungry

But I have no internet connection at home, only at work, and for some reason this part of the site is blocked! I’m still on the forum though, being a gobshite, as ever!
When I get my internet back, I’ll be here again, hopefully with big strength gains

It’s looking good so far - still missing fruit but sugar cravings far less - I have to go to another site visit and they provide lunch so that may be a problem - may just go for soup and olives and feta as last time, the chilli had loads of beans in………..hmmmm….
Doing well so far seem to have dropped 3 or 4 pounds - the tape measure isn’t moving yet, but I’ll give it time. Will have to take my progress pics this weekend so a couple more pounds would be nice to take me back to last months weight (grrr!!!!) Nothing like fat loss to kick the sugar cravings into touch!!!!
Have to go shopping tomorrow, I have only 2 eggs left!!!!
