US Basketball continued to advance as it defeated the Dirk Nowitzki-led German squad in a sloppy 106-57 victory to conclude their final preliminary round match. In a game marked with peculiar amount of missed-dunks, Team Redeem was lead by Dwight Howard 22 points and will now face the tough Aussie squad.

US basketball squad defeats China 101-70

Sunday, August 10th, 2008

USA "team redeem" defeating defending champion China 101-70 in the first day of Basketball action. In a game some estimated seen by over 1 billion viewers, the US squad broke down the host nations defense in a match that’ll be remembered for its soaring dunks. Interestingly enough, many questioned whether the dunks were a more of a showboating nature and lacked proper sportsmanship.

If you saw the game, what do you think? Were they pouring it on is sportsmanship important to you?
