Canada’s First Gold Medal
University of Alberta’s Carol Huynh won Gold for Canada defeating Icho Chiharu of Japan in Womens Wrestlings 48 kilogram weight class.
This is Canada’s first Gold Medal of these games and as well as the first gold for a Canadian female wrestler. Icho Chiharu takes the silver, her second straight.
