A different style of training…
Saturday, November 15th, 2008My body has taken a real hiding this year what with my dodgy bowel,the flu,a throat infection and now a head cold and its not as if I haven’t been eating well either.
when I was first diagnosed with my bowel disorder I had to radically change my diet and eliminate some foods I had been eating on a regular basis,like red meat,milk and certain vegetables,so i think the immune problems I’ve had since are in response to that-my body has still not adjusted. my diet is the best it has been for many years and I FEEL fit and strong but my immune system clearly isn’t..so I am looking for ways around that so I can continue to train how I need to and service my growing client base!
Training wise I have been doing 3 x weights,1 x Pilates reformer class and one Yoga DVD plus lots of walking. The new diet led me to drop 3% bodyfat without effort and now I’m getting the ‘you’re too skinny’ comments…but I am happy and I eat well so it really doesn’t bother me that much!
