Am I Jinxed?

I have written THREE posts and everytime I get on and write, it won’t POST!

I am SOOOO frustrated, PLUS, I have written so much, I never want to write again! Just wanted to check in and say that I’m doing awesome with my eating AND workouts, I’m on fire again.

Ate crap…again

What is my prob?  Ate junk all weekend long.  Don’t know why..just tasted good, I guess.  Felt really bloated and awful.  Woke up this morning, looked in the mirror and said to myself "SNAP OUT OF IT!!!"

Hopped on the scale:  149.6 pounds.  Yes, I was 133 a little over a month ago, so that is how my body works.  I can eat crap for ONE DAY and put on like 5 pounds.  NOT COOL.

Typed up an entirely new set of worksheets and got a new food journal (lost my other one, thus, the crappy eating…) and started journaling again.  Going to go low-carb and stick to 1200-1400 cals/day with one high day per week, the high day being 1800 calories.  This is what worked for me before.

The Great/TERRIBLE thing is that my friend made me get rid of all my "fat" clothes, so now everything I’m wearing is tight.  It’s great, but i’m so uncomfortable, too.  I love her for making me do that, though.  I never want to go back to where I was and I was well on my way there.

So, the plan is to start a new round of my 90 day program adding in extra cardio six days a week.  Mtn. biking M,W, F and Turbo Jam on Tues and Thurs, and Stadium Running on Saturday.  Watch out fat, I’m going to kick your butt!

I miss seeing my abs and having a flat tummy and thin hips.  I miss being in control.  I’m going to get back and be BETTER this time.

I think I may have to start weighing myself more.  I really don’t like doing it but I am having a hard time "maintaining" my weight loss.  When I get up 3-4 pounds, i need to get serious before it gets to be 12-15 pounds.

OK, so I’m good at kicking my own butt into shape.  time to do it again.  I have a big 10 day beach vacation in the end of August and I want to look great for it.  I know I can do it.  Here I go!

My food journal is about to become my best friend once again…

High School Bleacher Drills

Shook it up today and took my workout to the track.  man, that was awesome, I need to work that into my schedule.  I was huffing and puffing the whole time.  COULD NOT find my MP3 player, though, and I was ticked.  It would have been SO MUCH more enjoyable!

Still have about 10 pounds to lose before I’m ready for a bathing suit.  Felt really bloated last night.  Going to drink lots of water and try to flush out the sodium today.  It all goes to my ankles, I swear:(

Feeling better

Been sick for a few days, NASTY head cold!  Got hubby to recommit to completing a round of X workouts with me…I miss working out with him!

Stayed up WAAAY too late last night helping my hubby figure out how to estimate a job for tomorrow.  (he just went to work for himself) and then I slept in this morning.  Still not feeling 100%.  Today was SUPPOSED to be plyo.  I woke up at 5:30 and turned my alarm off.

Just woke up again at 9:30, yes, I am feeling VERY lazy!  And I was STARVING so I came upstairs and made some egg whites and oats and I’m headed downstairs to do my bike trainer for 30 minutes and then burn out my legs with some heavy lifting today.

Feeling like I’m starting to slim down a bit after the past few days of clean eating.  I started journaling my calories again and it’s CRAZY how fast they are adding up!  I was at 800 at noon yesterday, Geez, I got to be careful!  I’ve also been getting in a TON of water and that also helps wash out some of this bloat!

Well, off to the bike trainer!

Tuesday…Plyo Day

Back on track and loving my P90X workouts and mtn. biking.   Yesterday’s eating was very clean and today will be, too.  Need to work on getting in more water.  Almost exactly 30 days out from my 1st family vacation and I want to look good, so I’m focusing on cutting and extra cardio for the next month. I love summertime, everything is so beautiful outside!  Got my tomatoes planted yesterday and I’ve got to clear some space for alot more veggies.  That should burn some extra calories today.

Workout this morning was 45 minutes Plyometrics (always makes me sweat BUCKETS) and lots of leg work, squats, walking lunges, deadlifts, step ups and leg lifts.  Also did alot of hamstring work with ankle weights.  Felt great!

Changed my mind

Changed my mind about competing…after doing the diet for two weeks, realized that it is going to be near impossible for me to live my normal carefree summer life iwith my kids and hubby and go on vacations and travel and camping almost every weekend and keep up with the limitations of the contest diet/training/sleep schedule.  I have the UTMOST respect for those competing athletes and who knows?  Someday, I may be one, just not this summer.  I want to eat peaches and and tomatoes and sometimes stay up late for a movie and eat popcorn and some frozen yogurt here and there!  It was really hard for me to make this decision because I didn’t want to let my trainer down and I REALLY wanted to see what I could do to my figure with determination and her knowledge.  I am still going to work as hard as I can to get where I want to be…just not ending in a figure competition…at least this year!

Mountain Biking, Hooray!

Went Mtn. Biking today for the first time this year…forgot what an AMAZING cardiovascular workout and leg workout it is! I’ve been pooped all day!

Came home and finished off killing the legs.  Staying 100% true to the diet that my trainer has set out for me and it feels good.  Tummy is SUPER bloated (from the salt and carbs?) but besides that, I’m feeling good.  I think I’m missing my dairy most…my low carb yogurt and cottage cheese were lifesavers for me:(

But, it turns out that I love protein shakes made with just water…who knew?  And now I don’t think I’ll EVER put milk back into my oatmeal…love it with just water now, so that’s good!

I’m looking forward to feeling skinny again…I felt skinny for a few weeks last months, but I gained back all the "pneumonia" weight pretty fast as soon as I got well.  I’m back around 141 now.  That’s ok, though, as long as I’m training hard and building muscle!  I am looking forward to fitting into my skinny jeans again soon!

First week, almost done!

Wow, thanks for the positive words everyone!  I love all you guys on Bodyspace, we are all so like-minded and full of positive energy, it’s awesome!  Your words mean so much!

Well, I stuck to the diet my trainer laid out for me 100%, it was a little strange for me to add lots of carbs back into my diet, but I trust her 110% and know that she will get me where I want to be!!!!  It’s nice to not have to worry about the diet and just follow what she tells me to do.

I’m pushing myself really hard with the weight AND the cardio, trying to grow my muscles as much as I can while I’m on the high carbs.  Feels really good, I love pushing hard.  Even though I’m eating ALOT right now, I’ve been hungry almost all week, think my TOM is coming!

I am REALLY excited and nervous about the future, but couldn’t be happier that I’ve made the decision to compete.  I know it’s going to be really hard and I’m looking forward to it.  I’m ready for a big challenge at this point in my life, so BRING IT ON!!!

Bodybuilding ROCKS.

Off to do my walking lunges, been putting it off cause I was bonking.  I’m all Oatmeal-ed up and ready to go!!!

p.s. My trainer has me off chicken and eating ground turkey.  OH MY GOSH, it’s delicious!!!

Started Traning for an October Competition

OK, so I KNOW I didn’t think I’d ever want to enter a figure comp, but when the bug bites and an opportunity arises, you gotta SEIZE THE DAY and live life with no regrets!  When my friend and super-amazing figure competitior told me she’d train me I knew it was an opportunity I COULD NOT pass up!  I just want to crawl into her brain and figure out everything she knows, her knowledge and traning with be so incredibly valuable to me..just like a gift:)
She has completely transformed her body into the body that I want and she knows my stress over being a "PEAR" and can feel my pain, so that is worth GOLD to me!!!  LOVE YOU GIRL!!!

Today was day 2 of diet/training and it’s not bad at all, cause I’m on high-carbs right now!  It’s actually really nice having all my meals planned cause I’m going through a super stressful time with my hubby’s job and I think I’d be pigging on garbage if I didn’t have a ‘Plan’ so that is good!

I’m super excited/scared/nervous as heck but can’t wait for the crazy journey ahead!!
