Happy Day!

Tried on smaller jeans today and they fit, also took some new progress pics of my shoulders, I’m quite pleased with the progress I’ve been making lately.  I think my pullups have been key in reshaping my upper body. 

As I was taking pictures of my shoulder progress, I was also pleased to note that my butt is starting to round out and shrink.  This is GOOD as my butt is my problem area and is always way out of porportion with my tiny upper body.  So, upper body is getting bigger, lower body is shrinking, and I just want to say that

I LOVE BODYBUILDING!!!!!  It’s so amazing!

Hate the SNOOZE BUTTON!

Hit the snooze button on my cell phone this morning at 5:15, and it turns out I turned it OFF instead of snoozing and woke up at 8am with my 2 kids.  NOT COOL.

Today was 50 minutes of Plyometric training followed by hams and butt training.  Two hours of CONSTANT interruptions and I persisted but MAN did I just feel like BAGGING it altogether after sleeping in!!!  I was behind all day and my house is still a pigsty, but at least I got my scheduled workouts in.  Something had to give!

Eating was clean today, but I was in the car ALL day and ate 2 meal replacement bars.  I hate days like that.  Anyhow, could’ve been worse, I guess.  Maybe I’ll try to get in a session on the bike trainer tonight as well.  Tomorrow is a new day and that cell phone is going on the dresser ACROSS the room tonight so this NEVER happens again!

Awesome Weekend, I’m so proud of myself!

Went to our cabin in the mountains and was ABSOULUTELY surrounded by candy and baked goods, homemade carmels, kit kat, reeces pieces, brownies, ice cream, you name it and I packed all my own food and ate my tuna, sweet potatoes, steamed broccoli, precooked chicken and egg white omelets all weekend.  It was so nice to feel like I had power over the situation I was in!

I worked SO hard all week with my eating and workouts that I was determined not to sabatoge all my hard efforts.  Weighed myself this morning and I’m down another 2 pounds!  Now, I’m only 14 pounds away from my goal weight!  So far, I’ve lost 11 pounds since December 30th.  Life is good!

This morning was Chest, Shoulders, and Triceps and Abs and I also did 30 minutes on my bike trainer.  I’m going to do a TurboJam workout tonight as well, I’m feeling FULL of energy today!  I’ve had 6 low-carb, low cal days in a row, so I’m upping my carbs and calories today as I have Plyometrics and Leg workout tomorrow and I’ll need all the energy I can get!

Back and Biceps and Bike Trainer

Woke up tired, sore, and groggy this morning at 5am.  Hauled my cookies upstairs for a big glass of cold water and headed back down into my COLD exercise room!

Briefly considered doing some TurboJam, but I wasn’t feeling nearly coordinated or alert enough to do anything "dancey".  I glanced over at my bike trainer and smiled.  After leg day, I needed something that would warm me up gradually and work the soreness out of my legs.  Started out stiff and sore and by the time I hit 30 minutes, I was dripping sweat, I was feeling awake and ready to go!  SO, I did intervals for the last 10 minutes, and then I started my back and biceps day.  Basically, my workout is a set of pullups and then 2 sets of biceps, alternating between a gazillion different kind of pullups and biceps moves.  It WORKED me.

Started seeing a vein in the front of each bicep today and that made me happy!  Think my BF is dropping slightly again.  Also, starting to see my abs a bit more today, too.  Good stuff.  Eating was SUPER clean and low carb yesterday and I’m going to try to do the same today as I had 2 high days this week.

I’m off to make my egg white omelet with green peppers and onions.  YUM.  Love eating clean, it’s the best!

Can’t wait until summer.

PLYOMETRICS and LEGS day, urrggh!

Whoa, todays workout was a doozy!  Started out with 45 minutes of plyometrics and then did Legs and calves for 30 minutes.  Burned out my legs with walking weighted lunges for 10 minutes after I was all done.  I’d BETTER be sore tomorrow!

Had a "high carb" day yesteray and couldn’t believe the difference in the amount of energy I had for plyo today, it was amazing.  Decided I’m going to have a mid to high carb day every monday when I’m doing plyo on tuesdays so I can have more awesome workouts!

Spent yesterday at a hot springs in a tankini.  Still have alot of work to do on the legs/butt and abs before I"m ready for bikini season, but I’m making progress, and that makes me happy:)

PROUD OF MYSELF

Today, I’m proud of myself because after spending the last year educating myself on how to workout, how to eat, etc…I decided to trust myself and stick to my program and TRUST that it will work.  For the first few weeks, I wasn’t losing any weight, I was lifting REALLY hard and I think it took my body some time to adjust.  I kept thinking, "I’m going to switch back to doing pure cardio."  But, no.  I stuck to it, and I’m glad I did.  I weighed myself today and I’m down nine pounds from Dec. 30th when I started and I tried on a bunch of my spring pants/capris and they are loose in the butt/waist/thigh area where they were TIGHT last year, so LIFE IS GOOD!

It has really pumped up my motivation to stick to my program, cause I know it’s working.  I’m off to record my shake into my food journal and then hop in the shower.

Today was Chest, Shoulders, Triceps, and Abs and I also did 30 minutes of my TurboJam Fat Blaster DVD for cardio.  Awesome workout and my upper body is feeling nice and toasted.  Think I’ll do a few more chair dips and some more abs after my shower, just cause I’m feeling so motivated today!

Life is good and I’m finally through my PMSing.  I’m sure my poor husband will be happy:)

Venting Again

Had a discouraging talk with my husband.  Late last night when we were watching a movie he asked me if I wanted a 140 calorie treat.  (this means a skinny cow ice cream sandwich.)  he KNOWS I don’t eat at night, so I said, "no."  But, then, I was PMS’ing and I was like, "well, are they mint?" and he was like "yeah" and so I was like, "ok, bring me one."  To which he responded….."really?  Does that fit in your calories for the day?"  (At this point he politely got his head ripped off by yours truly.)  He couldn’t understand what he did wrong.  I was like, "don’t ask me if I want something and then basically tell me I can’t have it!!!  How annoying is that???"

Then, he explained that he was just shocked cause I always say no and he was just asking to be polite and he just wanted to help me reach MY goals like I have asked him to do.  Truly, he was caught between a rock and a hard place, but I was so pissed!

Then, today in the car he was like, "If I was trying to lose weight, I’d just starve myself like people do on survivor or something and then once I was down to being skinny, I’d just maintain."  OK, again, HOW INSENSITIVE CAN YOU BE?!???

Then, he was like, "i wasn’t talking about YOU!"

YEAH RIGHT.

Ok, more venting to come, got to get the kiddies to bed.  Just shows you how uneducated some people are about how to lose body fat.  No wonder most of the US is obese. 

 

5am, Saturday

You would think I should sleep in today, and I was THINKING about it, but no.  I had to wake up and do a TON of cardio since I ate pure CRAP yesterday at my mom’s house.  Note to self:  Don’t go to a house full of chocolate and garbage food when I’m PMSing!

So dumb.  Started out with a ton of self control and eventually started eating everything in sight!  Woke up today and did 45 minutes of kickboxing and then 30 minutes of lower body toning.  Feeling a little bit better.

Goal this week:  no protein or meal replacement bars.  I was looking through my food journal from last week and noticed that I was eating 1-2 a DAY!  YIKES.  Need to replace those with clean, real food and even more water.   So, that’s the focus this week.  Clean food, more water, intense workout!  YES!

On a good note:  Put on some jeans yesterday that were TIGHT in December and they were falling off me so I had to put them in the pile for goodwill.  That’s a good day!

(you would think it would have been enough to keep me out of the hershey’s kisses, but it wasn’t!  Shows you that womens hormones and chocolate are some pretty powerful substances not to be reckoned with!)

Glad to be back in my house and back to my clean food.  I’m off to the shower and then the supermarket.  I’m out of sweet potatoes and cottage cheese, oh my, my staples!  NOT GOOD!

Here’s to another good week and a bikini this summer!

Getting Sick?

Last night, felt like I had been hit by a train, so slept in a decided to ride my bike trainer this morning.  It’s only Yoga day anyway, so I can still do that tonight.  Feel like I needed the rest!

 Yesterday was Back and Biceps and I am SUPER SORE today.  Whoa baby.  Can tell if I keep doing that workout, I’ll start seeing the serious definition in my biceps that I want, yeah!

Just finished up my 5 egg white omelet and added in 1/3 red onion and 1/2 of a Boca Meatless Italian Sausage.  Yummo!  Got to drink lots of water and keep up on my vitamins and we’ll see if we can’t kick this darn cold and nip it in the bud.

Tomorrow is Legs Day, YIKES.

Plyo, DONE!

Whew,

Plyo is done and crossed off again until next Tuesday, yeah!  Afterwards, worked Hams and Quads…still need to do my calves.  Eating is still superclean and I’m feeling great and my clothes are loose!
